I always double base on pirth no matter what (even if opponent goes temple 1st). Only lost 1 game with this strat and that was 2 cheesypoof when he double based as well.

i think you are wrong on this one. read prince's post on double basing in anders mirrors. DB'ing works well with both cutter and anders.

Let me rephrase this.

It's much better with Cutter and it's very risky as Anders.

The risk is an illusion. The illusion being that you're vunerable early game. It's not true, they can hammer at your base with four Hogs and even bring in Marines, but getting a quick Supply Pad for health and then a Barracks for Flamers (if they do go Marines) or Tech is enough health to survive long enough to get Gremlins out, which also beat Marines w/o RPG. The fact you look so weak is actually an advantage versus decent players, because they do tend to go Hogs to kill the base and usually Marines to take it down both of which are false economies because your base won't drop before you outnumber him.
