    How about a credit system? You earn credits by winning battles or contributing to the battle. Credits can be used to buy new units that you can deploy on the battlefield or you can use them to purchase upgrades for your ship such as mac blasts, archer missiles, Shiva nukes, HEV pods. Certain ships have special upgrades, for example colonizations ships have pods which can deploy fire bases, or carriers which have fighters. Certain upgrades and units can only be reached when you obtain a certain rank

    Ooo remember the spartan teams? (assume this is all before Fall of Reach and we have spartans going around kicking butt everywhere)

    why not throw in an element from Endwar for Xbox? how as units fight they gain veterancy over battles you know? (not 1 star or 2 star though I'm talking like...lots and lots of rank advancment)

    you could station a spartan team on a key planet and your goal would to keep them alive in the engagement (to keep it fair you might want to make them pretty durable units..) success in keeping them alive during combat, will have them go up in veterency as shown in the galatic menu (of course if you did nothing with them the entire match, don't expect to much xp to be gained.)

    that would throw in a nice element :D

    (I also got this from the topic I origianlly based the StarWars BattleFront two thing on, just bring your attention to it, it's not my Idea.)

    ADD ON TO THE SPARTAN IDEA. How about each UNSC commander has 10 spartans and from your profile page you can choose what weapons each one wields

    Here is how a space battle would work

    1. Spam seraph fighters to completley disable a ship and let it float through space

    2. Spam mac cannon shots


    I actually LIKE 1v1 now...

    fighters would not be effective enough on their on to disable ships

    there would have to be bombers for each faction

    and you cant "spam" mac shots, because it would be a Y ability, or at least have a recharge time

    you would not be able to spam fighters than get enough ships to "spam" mac shots

    by the way, seraphs are covenant fighters, so mac shots are unavailable

    I have an idea for a ship upgrade. AI, allows for updates on enemy positions, and more control over fighters and ship weapons. Monitoring satellite, allows for AI to observe on enemy positions on the battlefield

    watch the cutscene where the chief takes the bomb into the Carrier in halo 2

    the ships have some huge cleansing beam on top too

    oh, and shadow. Fighters are units of their own, they are not completely AI controlled

    they would be just like marine squads in Halowars

    Point taken about the Beam, but I didn't mean control fighters, I meant the AI would give them a larger field range
