    I find this strange... Every game that comes out there is someone with a great idea, everyone on that forum loves it, yet nothing gets done and it eventually dies...

     

    Ideas I am reffering to... Survival mode in Halo 3, and the Pendulum DLC in GoW 2....

    However, this idea is awesome and it is what I've been thinking of for a long time... 3 races are better than 2...

    There is somewhat of a restriction on memory usage for DLC, but considering Halo's popularity, Microsoft would allow DLC (IF there was DLC) that created another faction in Halo Wars. Blaky039 has a good idea and I love that he spent the time to dream and consider the possibility. These types of ideas are good and should not be dismissed immediately. I too think it would be cool to play the flood and these concept drawings are what get designers and leads talking about possibilities.

    Well consider this, due to the Flood being an entirely new faction with different playing, release them in the form of a tutorial first, showing you what the Flood can do, and how to play as them. Then, a week later, release the Flood for Multi-player/Skirmish. Now, size-restrictions avoided :D.

    On-topic: Ok, we need some more Flood ideas, I'll start having a proper look through of the Flood ideas, and see if I can find any weak spots, although I doubt there is any,

    I haz one. Flood Chimera. Can change from a land form to air form. In land form uses tentacles and air form uses spikes.

    Nvm, it does shoot spikes, looks for more weak areas.

     

    Also, nice idea there Shadow, whats it gonna look like?

     

    E1: Haven't found any problems with the ideas so far, although I've yet to review Rot's ideas. Any problems report them by posting, we want to make this perfect so the people handling the DLC will actually do this.

    The flood main base could spew out infection form squads every 30 secs or something, because flood heavily rely on infecting things, you could also get an upgrade to make the base spew out infection forms more often

    This could be good DLC lol

    What if Ensemble Studios had kept it secret that they will be playable. It would surelly suprice many.

    Wow, I love your concept art, and the ideas are pretty awesome. Maybe the Flood will be taken up in a sequel or downloadable content.
    Try to answer your posts in a mature way. If a recurring question annoys you some how, don't post, ignore it as there is no need for hostility.

    Really good job, I like the crashing everything into the ground idea lol. And the heros sound cool (just if they were real I think they might stay with one theme like the covie and humans, like ether not there on are, not both) Also, I think you should have the Brute flood as normal units, but have one of the hero created units should be elites, and they get sheilds or something. But still, really good thought out.

     Also, don't worry about the smart guys who love saying "The flood are not playable!!!!" You and I know that, its just an idea, like just read his idea and comment on that. Not the fact there is no flood team.

     Hey, you know what would be really really REALLY funny, if when the game comes out there is a flood team and they were hideing it from us this whole time. Just the thought of all the smart guys faces when they see the flood. It would be the best thing ever lol.


    Been playing Halo Wars so much I suck at Halo 3. XD

    I know I am reviving a somewhat old (well not really, but it is on page 6 or so...) thread, but I have a good contribution to make, and, well, I can't let this thread die.

     If it were to be so you could only have 1 super gravemind, and the other bases couldn't advance past proto-gravemind or gravemind, could it be made so you can move your super gravemind, like how the Gravemind moves himself from Delta Halo to High Charity?  It would have a calcium cost, and you would see the Gravemind pulling most of his mass into the ground, and he would surge up at the targeted base.  Then the original base would be reduced to the max level of base that the others can have.
