Before Battle for Middle-Earth 2 came out, I thought RTS games would never successfully come to consoles, but that game changed my views around completely.  Once you get used to that games control scheme, it becomes very easy to navigate and control your troops.  Could the controls be better?  Yes!  Was it a good start?  Yes!  I hope Ensemble improves on these controls (or finds their own control scheme that works amazingly well), because with some tweaking, I think you will see many more RTS games coming to consoles.

guys, seriously... Stop ganking on the choice for 360 over PC... live with it, nothing YOU can say will change it...

it WILL work seeing as every RTS game for the 360 was PORTED this is MADE FOR THE 360 and therefore it is made with controls in mind

As long as they take full advantage of the 360's power and get a good control scheme going it should be a great game.

When I saw the trailer for this game I was really excited, but then I found out that it was only for the xbox 360 and was really dismayed. WTF i can understand that microsoft wants to sell 360's but now they dont care about computers anymore? I'm a big PC gamer I love FPS as well as a little RTS, but since I just bought a new comp, i don't want to have to drop 400 bucks on a 360 just to play a game that is obviously meant to be played on a PC anyway. I mean how RTS is meant for something with a mouse and keyboard, especially if you have uber micro like me :D.

First of all, Microsoft are bovered about the PC if you saw there X06 confrence you'd know that.

 

Second of all, why not make the game for the 360? If the game has been speciffically made for the 360 it will play well and Halo is a Xbox game, it will probablyy come out for PC though in two years.

yes they care.  they just want to A) prove that consoles are cool too.  You dont HAVE to have a PC to enjoy the depth of these games once considered exclusive.  B) they are streamlining it for the 360 and making it all shiny feeling. . . and yes, all us computer gamers are feeling a little left out by microsoft (i think their next project that's coming out is the new flight simulator) but that's cuz they're hard at work on Vista whichll probably be bad for the first year or two, then become mindblowingly awesome.  Just hold with us, and until then play some CoH!

The amount of idiots here astounds me.

BFMEII is a RTS and fits perfectly with the 360, consider yourself lucky in england you pay 400 pounds and up thats about 1lb=$2. They also pay around 100 american dollars for games.

Even at $400 it's a decent investment;

 

DVD Player, Media Center Extender, Jukebox, XBL Arcade, Marketplace, USB connectivity, CD player etc.

I have it hooked to both of our computers, one through Media Center, and one through Windows Connect (Which obviously doesn't work if I'm booted into Linux, but oh well)

Ensemble may opt to support USB keyboard and mouse as well.

 

Not to mention it opens up a lot of other games for you to play.

 

And as a final note, by the time this game comes out, the XBox 360 should drop a bit in price.
