You guys should just 2v2 it would be interesting to see who's strategy would prove superior.

    Garner's Brute/PoR combo or McHalo3's......Cutter....something combo.

    you should 1v2 them both

And burn, you will burn. You will burn in hell, yeah you will burn in hell. You will burn in hell, yeah you will burn in hell for your sins.

I was just telling you that if the PoR went in alone and all 3 turrets were shooting him until he killed the 1 turret and then stayed in the blind spot of the other 2 turrets.

I think the PoR's shield would go down low enough to where a Mac would kill him.

If the Brute went in first then no neither the PoR or Brute would die.

and HE might not have enough for a Mac but with a few clicks of money from his teammate he probably could.

haha just a few clicks :P he spendin 750 on turrets, atleast 1 supplypad, reactor then the upgrades comes out at quite a high cost i mean thats what 750+100+250+300+600=2K resources and early game its not that easy to come by

and @ bad reputation i like that idea :P haha

Im not the best player around i know that but my god im sure ive had some of the worst on my team ¬¬

Hahaha yea I doubt they'd have any of this money.

They'd probably forget to collect crates while putting up turrets =P

His teammate would be PoR right?

    he'd go temple 1st and Shield 2nd.

so I'm pretty sure there would be no money for a mac.

who knows he might drop a d-bomb then try to mac you now that you can't cleanse/vortex ...............(sarcasm btw anyone who thinks i'm serious)

    xD

    and I couldn't 1v2 u guys...maybe McHalo3 though ;)

you play brute and you almost always brute rush, im sure it is safe to say that 3 anti infantry turrets will help stop your rush along with the help of my teammate?

i mac your prophet buddy my turrets take all or most of your army out and my teammate has still been untouched!

also im pretty sure not positive but 1 mac wont kill a blessed imo PoR some one correct me if im wrong im not sure about that

    I'm pretty sure he'd die.

if not he'd have barely any health left..just trying to get to the blindspot on his base (while moving there taking fire from the turrets) would definitely bring the PoR's shield low enough to where a direct mac would kill him.

but i always send my brute in first, plus on near enough every map apart from docks you come into one turrets line of sight first which can be taken out before it does a massive amount of damage so his PoR would be find and like i said a mac on a brute wont kill him either and you have seen how much money he has spent on turrets etc would he have enough for a mac?

okay a brute rush from someone who knows how to rush well is hard to stop.

but i have enough experience under my belt and so does my teammate were both o.g.'s

it would be difficult but i am certain that me and my buddy will be able stop your rush and win the game.

Re: 2v2 leaders that mean an instant win for you.

    SecretSquirrel:

I figured my first post might as well be a topic, so here goes.

Hi, I'm a 2v2 enthusiast and mainly use Forge. I make sure my team consists of one UNSC and one non brute chieftain Covenant.

So many 2v2 games are determined by simply hitting the back button and looking at two things: leader combination and rank. Most lower ranking opponents will always use the same build depending on what leaders were chosen.

Here are a few combinations with general strategies. All of these are easy enough to counter that I didn't want to type the specifics out. (Honestly, most counters are just tanks and banshees anyway.) Feel free to tack on any more you guys have noticed.

Double Covenant (any): Instant win! Prepare for leader rush, scout, and build counters after the rush. Expect a resign after the failed rush.

Brute Chieftain and UNSC (any): Near guaranteed win! If you have any other covenant leader, you are at an advantage in 2v2. Prepare for probable brute rush, scout the UNSC, and build appropriate units.

Double Cutter: Be a good sport and reserve them some tables in Valhalla; their double elephant rush and ODST boom is going to cost them dearly. Again, scout the main base just in case, but if they did this, the match is as good as over.

Forge and Anders: They're going tanks and hornets. If they're extra sneaky, Forge will go hornets and Anders will go tanks, just to keep the element of surprise. Same old fire alarm: scout, build counters, dry out clothes.

Brute Chieftain and Cutter: Watch out. Your forces are going to come down with a bad case of Brutarine. Fortunately, this is an extremely mild disease if you take the right precautions. Simply prepare for a standard brute rush with some added marines or flamethrowers. Remember to take your vitamins! After you've gotten over the Brutarine, push to their base while building Scorpions and counters for any other units. (you did scout them, right?) Cutter is probably teching ODST from the main base, while the Brute Chieftain is likely spamming more brutes.

In short, if you see these leaders do three things. SCOUT them, PREPARE for a rush, and COUNTERATTACK with the most effective forces available.

    Simple as that!

I totally know what you mean!

Like in 1v1 if you're Anders and you're playing an Anders...

Can you say INSTANT WIN FOR ANDERS?! :D

BAH HA HA HA HA no. Anders/Forge/Cutter will always go for their own super unit? So Cutter never double bases and dual pumps canister tanks, Anders never goes hogs and well I guess you're right about Forge.

A well executed dual covvy rush is extremely potent and will probably make it a 2v1 on certain maps (beaslys, and Memorial basin come to mind.)

And Cutter, Brute is one of the best 2v2 pairings. The high base damage of brutes means they have to be the focus of attention at the start leaving Cutter alone for the couple of minutes he needs to dual pump tanks. - good cutters never go ODST.
