Maybe the flood will be in it...that'd be kinda cool. Not as a playable race maybe, but as a side story or something.

If I remember correctly pirates actually played quite a role in the Halo lore.

how do we kno that? all we kno is that it takes place b4 reach due to all the spartans, and tahs about it unless u kno something i dont....

In the FAQ it clearly states that it takes place before the other two halo games.

i got proof it takes place before the books. 1. first off in the book fall of reach, it begins sayed something like "the covenant has been attackng and destroyed almost all the outer colonies and now its headded for reach"2. and in this game, it begins when the humans and the covenant FIRST meet each other

It couldn't start before the books because in the trailer it showed spartans. Perhaps you meant before the first game?

I think the Humans and Covenant were fighting about 45 years before Halo 1... (If I remember correctly)

I think they knew each exsisted but weren't actually in a war.

yeah, but SPARTAN_118 does have a point lol. but everyoone remeber this.this is a game. people can modify them to their own content. they don't have too folow word by word of the books and history of the halo universe

That still doesn't explain the spartans in the trailer.[*-)

And that is why I'm not excluding the possibility of Flood being in the game... 

the spartans are people who advertise for halo 3
