OK...people if you,ve read the book:Fall of Reach then you'll now that there was other armour before the markV cuz you'll read the doc(dont remeber name) say,"We have had other armours before the MJOLNIR armour, but they were to heavy on the troops who worth them and have had power problems." She continues on to say."one of which was the power cell(which is the backpack looking thing on mc's back) it was too big for just one man one to carey and had to be conected to the armour be a large cable in turn shortens the length the soldior's walking distance." Now this was before the MJOLNIR armour was made so by the time the U.N.S.C created the armour they had already fix the power cell problem. So what im trying to point out is that it cant be the armor before the markV cuz you could only go like 20 feet in the game.

 

P.S. The words anit exectly what she(meaning the doc) said but they go something like that so dont harp on me if they anit perfec.

Oh i forgot to say something in my last forum but i believe that there was no Spartan-1 project cuz in the book:Fall of Reach doing the mc's training he and the other spartans were shown different war movies in class(which was teached by Deja)that showed the greek spartans. Now if there was a Spartan-1 project then the childern(mc was only 6 years old during the time) would have seen clips form the Spartan-1s' felid or training missions.

There was a Spartan-I project. Project ORION. Phase I of the Spartan Super Soldier Program. These soldiers recieved no armor and minor augementations. Disbanded in  2493. All of this is confirmened in the Halo Graphic Novel

The Docs name is Doctor Catherine Hasley. The Doctor designed the MJOLNIR armor. The armor you are describing is the power suits that the UNSC experimented with BEFORE the MJOLNIR armor. The suits required large amounts of power to operate so they had to connected to a generator or use broadcast power. Both of which is inefficient in combat. MJOLNIR armor was built in mark I, II, III- these are all prototypes. The MJOLNIR armor that the Spartan-IIs recieved on Chi Ceti IV is mark IV. They recieved mark V before the Battle of Reach.

PS: STOP STATING WRONG INFORMATION

OK im srry for having my info wrong but what u just said means that the armour in the video cant be any of the old spartan armor. Cuz if Spartan-1s had no armour and the Spartan-2s used 4-6(so far) then theres no spartan who could have used the marks 1, 2, and 3.

The spartans in the Trailer are Spartan-II's.. not Spartan-I's. The armor they're using in the trailer is most likely Mark-III armor, which I believe they were given a little while before the fall of reach.
The Mark-III armor was the first suit designed with the Shield technology built into it, allowing the Spartans to absorb some direct fire without taking damage.
I'm not 100% sure about that however (been awhile since I read fall of reach), so this info is based on the theory that the Trailer takes place Before the fall of reach, but after the covie invasion had been going on for quite awhile.

In the book Ghosts of Onyx, you find out that there is a new spartan project, or at least there was. Spartan III's were created for the sole purpose of suicide missions. They were stronger than the Spartan II's, but lacked the military training, and were just sent on missions to die. I haven't read the book, but I believe they all died eventaully. They did have a new type of armor that was cheaper, since they were going to die anyways.

As for the Spartan's armor in the trailer, no one can really tell what kind it is. There are so many variations of the MJOLNIR armor, that it's very hard to tell from a glance.

well, uowe us $20, since ES has said that halo wars is PRE-halo

making that the mark IV armor

and it doens't look like halo and halo 2 combined, its bulkier than the halo 1 armor, and has better graphics, making the textures and bumpmapping more like halo 2

The Spartan-IIIs were trained into 3 classes: Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Alpha and Beta companies died in seperate operations, Prometheus and Torperdo, respectively. There were only 2 survivors out of the two companies: Tom-B??? and Lucy-B???. Gamma company recieved augementations similar to the Spartan-IIs but with a much higher survival rate. The Spartan-IIIs were sent on High Value missions and used Semi-Powered Infiltration (SPI) armor. SPI armor can "cloak"(turn invisible).

The Spartan's armor in the trailer is MJOLNIR mark IV. They recieved it in March 2525, first contact with the covenant was made in November 2525. And mark V didnt come until shortly before the battle of Reach.

Mark III MJOLNIR armor is a prototype. Mark V was the first MJOLNIR system with shielding.

Totally out of no were here, but I think this armor looks better than the halo2 armor.

ok but if it is the mark-3 then why do they have BRs and not ARs. Then battle rifle didnt come into veiw until halo 2 so if it was truly the mark-3 then wouldnt they have ARs?
