    I don't know all too much about marathon, or any of the previous bungie games, but... I just recently read that someone who was working on Halo 1, supposedly said multiple times that Halo takes place between the departure of marathon, and the survivors of Tau Ceti. Whatever that may mean.

    "NO you freaks! Halo and Marathon ARE NOT connected" ??????
    and i think we may all have to slap ourselves for wasting so much time posting on it too...

     Okay? In an image on the Halo Wikia site.... they clearly show you the Marathon logo on the Master Chief's Assault Rifle? so now what do you have to say?

    people love to through around the relationship of halo and marathon, and i'm a firm beliver they are tied together. There are soo many refrences to marathonit seems that it cant possibley be a considence

    Just because they throw marathon symbols in every once-in-a-while doesn't mean they're connected.  Bungie likes to put a lot of weird stuff in their games like that.  I don't know anything about marathon but it would be hard to connect 2 games like that.

    at the end MC is frozen in the ryo tube... and floats twoard the planet... a planet that has a blue light coming from the back... almost like an engine......

     

    halo ends about 200 years before marathon... with a frozen cyborg in MJOLNIR armor...

     

    marathon begins with a MJOLNIR cyborg that has been frozen for 200 years.... on a planet turned ship... aka Marathon ....

     

    too many plot similarities...

    hmmm maybe, i've never played marathon so i wouldn't know.  

    Is the armor in marathon really MJOLNIR?

    Now that I think about it, that would be a good way to end the series, with the normal ending for the people who didn't watch the credits, and a teaser ending for all the trailer watching, hard core bungieites.  So the game is ended but it goes on to the other series, that would be clever, but I would still like to believe that halo isn't over yet, though now I'm losing my hope a bit.

    this wont be the last halo game.... thats been said by bungie... but the last one with the MC

     

     

    and the armor isn't MJOLNIR... but the cyborg is just called a MJOLNIR cyborg... his mind however has been wiped... and its probably because an AI tried to take over his mind... so he has no memory of it

    actually, ya, its the last "Halo" game. confirmed by bungie in a marketplace vid.They story isnt over yet though, they said that.

    they said that it is the last game with the master cheif... they did not say it is the last halo game

    well heres my two cents (=P)

    just because bungie put marathon symbols into halo and some other referances... that doesnt mean they are linked or the same storyline

    seriously have you guys never seen any other developers do this before?
