dont you think the UNSC has medical scanning technologies that surpass our own? the viruses we make up today are probably nothing compared to bio weapons employed by the UNSC...i cannot believe someone, or in fact a mass of people would argue that the United states, or even the wolrd could stand up to the military might of the United Nations Space Command, the entire military of a galaxy, theres 6 billion people on our planet earth. Now the UNSc has earth, reach, and many others each adding to their population.

for god sakes people why are you arguing when an advanced race, and a race that out numbers us...how could we ever win? the truth is we couldnt....hands down UNSC would win

Well July 4th is around the corner and I would like to bring the EVERYONE'S Attention North Korea has a nuke aimed at Hawaii...That is all, please do not panic haha

FINALLY SOMEONE THAT SPEAKS THE TRUTH!

    US=1 country on Earth

UNSC=800 Planets in the Orion Spur of the Milky Way galaxy.

Oh and thank you for knowing that UNSC is the United Nations Space Command and not the United Nations Space Corps

About the AI dicussion(if that's what I think I saw)...

The USB slots of today are fairly small, the chip that Cortana is on isn't made to be inserted in today's USB slots. So AI's can't hack into the modern today computer because they can't fit. I'm not sure about military 'hook-ups', but I'm sure that the AI chips can't fit...

Are you joking? That's your reason why AIs can't hack the US, because the chips don't fit in a USB port? If they were going to use anything it would be similar to a Wireless connection, or they would just use a satellite to get into the internet, and from there it is so much easier. Oh and if you say you can't get to the US data core from the internet think about this.

It's easy to get from the internet to a centralized server, which is where US intelligence is stored.

I didn't say that they couldn't use wireless signals to hack into the systems, though I admit that what I said looked like it in a way.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The everyday UNSC marine doesn't carry the equiptment to scan for biological materials, because it's not their job. The thought of biological substances wouldn't be in the mind of a UNSC marine, it would be in the back of his head; the last thing he would think of. The guys that do scan for biological substances would be aboard the ships, doing their job; testing anything that they think is a threat. And that's not going to stop the infection from spreading.

Biological virus' "evlove", they evolve(into multiple sub groups) up to the point where they're immune to cures and vaccines. They are the most dangerous material known to man, they blend with infected host to avoid detection, signs of an infectious outbreak does not show until weeks or months later.

It's kinda funny on how today's technology can stop the common flu, but then out of no where it changes just once and is something completely different that needs an entire new vaccine/cure.(and that's after months/years). Now think about a biological substance that chances within weeks...not only once, but it changes multiple times until it's completely immune to nearly everything. Even when it's immune to more than 1000 vaccines, it's going to keep changing and changing. It's not like the common flu, it doesn't change after months or years, it changes in weeks. YES, I DO beleive that the UNSC is capable of stopping the biological weapons that modern technology has, but they wouldn't be able to see it coming(either from the thought of winning, or just not thinking about it), until it's too late.

I'm taking that a lot of members here suspect that a biological organism shows the affects within a few days...but it doesn't, for all we know, we could've been breathing in a biological organism since last year.

Still arguing a single planet could beet 600 others..I believe you are just arguing for the sake of arguing, and you are obviously patriotic, and i can respect that, but sir I do ask you to honestly take a look at the 500 year difference in technology and to stop making up stupid reasons why the UNSC could not hack us and other such nonsence that is just making you look unintellegent

Re: Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

though what you say is partially true you do not know how a vaccine works. it takes a small weakened version of the virus and infects you with it where your white blood cells create anti-bodies that do the rest. you cannot be infected with the same virus twice (ex. chicken pox) but some viruses change over time (flu) and the white blood cells have to destroy it again as you body has not produced anti-bodies for that strain (anti- bodies only work one one strain of a virus). we have not been able to create a virus that can target specific people so if it takes weeks for there to be any sign it can major back-fire ex. a marine is infected and the virus is air-born and he fights a squad from a fortified position and manages to kill 2 solders and die while being charged and those few solders that met him would all be infected and not know it.

Re: Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

One fact makes this arguement pointless: the Halo series is not realistic in any way, shape, or form. Nobody would go to the trouble of thinking up every military asset that the UNSC has at its disposal. The UNSC has only as many vehicles as the video games require them to have. It is certainly not all that the fictional UNSC has at its disposal. They have more vehicles, someone just hasn't made them up yet.

Another problem with this argument is when people fail to recognize the vehicles that have been mentioned, that are not in the mainstream Halo media. It also annoys me when people like you say this can't happen because Halo isn't realistic; well this is an 'if it did happen' thread not 'would it happen' so don't even bother trying to boost your post count with these pointless posts.

So we take the knowledge that is known about Halo(which is a lot more than you think) and compare it in a hypothetical war against the US. So it doesn't matter if it is realistic or not, it just is; that is why this post is made.

Re: Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

If the UNSC hasn't found a cure for a biological weapon 500 years old then they would be in trouble. If it were that easy to kill so many of them. The URF would have been much more successful. The UNSC probably has biological scanning to guarantee that the marines are clean. They have adapted to fight an unconventional warfare so they must be prepared for this.

Also as I said, it would be as simple to treat as a flu. What you are saying is the same as saying that men from 500 years ago had a chance against the US army of today if they used biological warfare? I don't think so.

this is like asking who would win the present day united states or revolutionary united states.

we vastly outnumber them. we have planes kinda like the unsc has space ships.
