I can't see what the big deal is anyway, sure it is fun to beta test, but it doesn't really matter that much, i prefer to sit with either the demo or the full version. Why ? Because they are usually a little more stable and contain some SP content, which is what i prefer.
    Huh?

You work for MS from your bio, of course you may have done single player testing.

stop spamming already, edit your last post to add similar information....and give it up already, they will be no public beta testing for this game.

I never said there will be. I am saying, there might be.

And I am not spamming, I am merely posting and participating in a discussion.

by not editing your last thread to add information to your last thought, you are spamming.

and might be, will be, no difference, cause there wont be.

? I just said i prefer a demo or the full version to a beta, and explained that is because they usually contain Single Player content, which is what i like.

Indie, I've seen you post on other forums with this "I know more than you think attitude," and I just found out you're an MS employee. What exactly do you do (don't tell us your exact job, just if you work in PR or programming or beta testing or etc.)? How'd you get your job? And can't you get fired for breaking an NDA by telling us the Halo 3 beta starts next month?

Obviously it's not gonna come down to a choice between the two. If there is a public Beta, it will come out before a demo, let alone the full version. And if you choose not to try the Beta (if it's public), I'd say you're crazy.

So, its wrong for me to think there might be beta testing because ES has done it before and unlike you I don't work at MS? What you got some problem with that or something?

You see, in the English language which we both seem to speak, "might" is an expression we usually use when in doubt about a certain thing, but that you are expecting one of the two options to be the more realistic one. You don't have to be a jackass for the fact that I took a well constructed guess at something.

I just said that i don't feel that playing a beta is that important ! Of course i am going to try a beta if i can, but if i can't i won't be crying over it or even be dissapointed.

no, i can tell you im doing the testing all i want, just cant tell you details about the game.

and the 360 isnt region encoded, if that was true, how the hell would people play  region free games?

and im done with you kumah...since you dont seem to want to understand the difference between the words "might be" and "wont be." you can think "might be" all you want, but the sooner you accept "wont be" the less dissappointed you'll feel later on.

I have to agree with Indie on this. I put the region code thing in as an after thought, and then deleted it as a second after thought. But yeah, the 360 can play free region DVDs/games, it just can't play region 2 or 3 or 4 DVDs/games if you live in North America. You were misunderstnading what I meant. On the 360 box it says "limited to region 1 and free region." Don't make me scan it.

exactly, thats what i tried to explain to you before, there is no actual region locking in the actual hardware, it is up to the devs of the game what region to make the disc, Region 0 is no region, or region free. Any console from any region will be able to play these titles. If the disc is encoded with a region, then it can only be played on consoles for that region, so essentially each region of console will be able to play 2 regions, regions 0 and the region that cooresponds to their console.

I feel really sorry for them. They worked on that mod for such a long time, and then they got the banhammer. I know it was totally Bungie and Microsoft's legal right, but still...I wish somone would've told 'em to close shop before they put so much time and effort into it. Ayways, I'm glad we're getting to play Halo Wars! It's gonna rock!
