You guys are aware that the decision to end online stat-tracking effectively makes the game a dead game... right?  If that was your goal you could have saved us all a lot of time and not reset the LB.  Do you really think people from halowars.com will move on to the waypoint forums after you kill their game?  Seriously...

This. Why don't you respond to statements like this instead of ducking under your skirt Cocock? Just go break your neck in a car crash or something and forget about this site.

    EsKayAteAre:

How about since you decided to reset the leaderboard? You could've just NOT said anything and just let it go. But now you reset the leaderboards and ask us to provide proof of boosting. Now how can we? Better yet we won't even care anymore because it's dead... RIP Halo Wars

Seriously, how old are you guys? 10?

I know it sucks be we all saw it coming, as they used to say, its just business and all we can do is act like adults about it and have what fun we can here whilst we can.

I hate to say i told you guys so.

I told you this was going to happen when Cocop announced the LB reset but non of you listened....

No, I was right there with you. Klunk told me to trust in the Mods. GG Klunk.

Anyways, no surprise. Halo Waypoint is in full force now and Halo Wars is as good as dead. Without stats this game doesn't have much merit.

You were here in the days of paragon weren't you Nate?

On my other account yeah, This is my 3rd account because my other 2 have been banned.

I was looking back over the posts and threads we used to make back in 08, they made me laugh, that was the sense of community i miss, but this site has just deteriorated since then and to be honest i don't feel any sadness for loosing this site because the fun times i have had from this site are long gone. Although it may upset me that it's ending i feel happy that maybe we can find a new community at waypoint like in the days of paragon...

I remembered when Felix ran the forums... xD then he got banned.

    When did you first join?

Do you remember Felix before he was known as felix?

    Awesome117?

Honestly? I'm supprised. So over at waypoint will there be a separate forum within the site for chat about Halo Wars?

Also, You don't have to answer this as i understand that could be taken as a personal question, but what sort of connection do you have to the top bosses in the waypoint staff? What is the aim of moving us to waypoint? Be honest please as you might as well seeing as we will never see you again after the 15'th Dec. You can Private Message me if you wish.

At the Halo Waypoint forums, Halo Wars will be treated just like Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. Threads can be labeled as specific to a certain game, but no game gets its own forum (not right now, at least).

As for your second question, the "top bosses" in the Waypoint staff agreed that it sucked that we have to do this. But Halo Waypoint is, as I said, growing in scope and scale, and has a big future, and we'd like to consolidate Halo Wars discussion there rather than have it split across the two sites. Especially when you guys desperately need more moderation, which we can provide over there. As far as disabling stat-tracking, this is just one of the things that has to be lost in the transition between sites. It's complicated and I wish there was a better way, but there simply isn't.

I don't know anything about those sites, but I can't imagine there's a Halo Wars section over there. But, as I said, you can label a thread as "Halo Wars" over on the Waypoint forums. Just like you can do with H3 or Reach or whatever.

Hey Coco, this sin't going to affect the in game stats is it. Like the "service record' area in the game menu and the leaderboards on Live? win loss and such. otherwise the LB wipe was a waste of time

well the only reason people played this game was to brag about it on the forum so I guess the game is dead.

also the lack of moderation is a good thing. The bannings have done way more bad then good.

even durring the least moderated time on this forum when aloy left and nobody did anything, it was a fun time and people talked about what they want and nobody was like: "oh gosh I do wish there was a mod here to make our discussion better" because if you don't like whats being posted you don't have to care and you can defend yourself.

    Mods only make forums worse.

I really don't understand this Felix thing. Ya'll worship his as though he were a god.

The forum got out of hand and died right after E3 '08. And ever since then its just be decaying even more. So I'm glad it can finally be buried.

It had its good times. But now its all gone...

And before this whole thing shuts down, is the "Game Suggestions" forum archived, because there were some great threads in there that were wiped out when the game arrived and I'd hate for it to go to waste.

    I am now semi-retired member.
