Ok.

 1.The game is nowhere near done.  It looks good because it is polished. 

 2.Did the Halo 3 beta look like it was already done then?  Just because it was polished and looked good doesn't mean it was done.  It wasn't even close.

 3.ES spent 6 months working on controls out of 2.5 years.  It takes 3 years to make a game.  3.5 to make a good one.

 4.There is no way that they would release it near the release of Halo 3.  It would squash both games.

 5.Stop typing in all caps please.

 6.Paragon already said somewhere that they weren't even beta yet.

Actually, they've only been working on it since the release of World of WarCrap. So about 3-4 years.
