THE TRIGER: im a cornelwith a 1v1 skill lvl of 32. untill now ive faced absolute idiots but im starting to face some people who know what to do, mainly anders players who rush with warthogs. they can have 4 gunner hogs by two min. which is hard to counter with cutter. my current strat is to build an elephant and spam marines till i can get some tanks or air out. any suggestions to improve this?

I never said you were bad.  You beat me once on release, which is one of my least favorite maps because of the lack of space and hooks.  It was also an Anders mirror, and I hardly ever play using her.  I beat you Arby vs. Prophet on Blood Gulch, I think my leader had a huge disadvantage that game. :P  And when did you beat skiis?  He never said he lost to you. 

 

EDIT:  Skiis and I also destroyed you and Agro in that 2v2 tournament 2 - 0.  I consider myself a better team player anyway. :P

@stud beating a arbiter on pirth with anders is not a achivment. anders vs covy on pirth is almost insta win for the anders.

I beat him yesterday, I'll try to find the link but it was way to many games ago I think, and I dont remember facing your arby as POr but I'll take your word for it =/

anway I wouldnt mind facing you in some more anders mirrior matches or any other combo you wish or we could 2v2 together if 1's arent your thing.

It was before the Anders mirror.  I SG rushed you, you got pretty pissed afterwards....Skiis652 doesn't play HW anymore, lol, I thought you meant you beat him when he played regularly.  He's playing Halo 3 again, just goes on Halo Wars once a week or less.  I didn't say YOU were a bad player, I meant if someone goes reactor first and bases his whole strategy around finding their hogs before they get gunner, that's not very smart.

You chose your leaders, you even switched it up to Anders/Forge in the second game.  We didn't stop you from running Anders/Arby too.

@bb2010 you dont seem to understand how the strat works so I will just leave it at that gonig hogs like anders at the start woks well and is far more effective then freaking mariens without new blood and an elephant locked down -_-

A couple of hogs works, not to fight them with though.  I never suggested marines, that was someone else.  An elephant just making marines/flamers for the hooks works much better on BG/BR.  The real answer to this thread is to just use Anders though, lol.  Cutter is only good on a couple maps. :D

I'm not a Cutter player but I've seen people use the elephant and barracks strat. Don't quote me but I believe that on maps with hooks, marines and flamers will be useful on taking the hooks. But then, you wont use marines to fight hogs. what you will do is use them to expand and guard the newly build base. put turrets up and if you can accomplish this, you will have a good eco to compensate. But then again, a haven't played for almost a month because I got the 3 rings of death. My xbox is on it's way back though. =0) hehehe

If you MAC an Elephant while it's being Jacked, then both the Elephant and the Spartan are instantly Destroyed.

This is the only case I can find where T1 MAC can do more damage than it costs. 300 for spartan + 400 Elephants = 700. MAC = 600.
