Idiot. First define the armour. For all we know it could be cardboard. Anyways, ODST were specially suited for plasma shells for defence against such enemies. Second, ODST have light weight armour which allows them to run as if they were naked. The elites personally suck in all traits apart from strength and speed. Their intellect is pathetic compared to a humans

I checked up, dumb ass, and the only reason the Elites were described in the bestarium as being very clever is due to the fact that the senect who wrote the article on elites considered them to be mentally capable, but not enough to do maths or science. The only reason they're so advanced is because of the fact there were massive fore runner structures the idiotic so called "scientists" of the elites could experiment with.
