Yea, I think this stuff is already on our discs, we are just paying to unlock it, pretty ghey and another reason I wont be paying.

How could they think, in their infinite wisdom, that after people pay 10 freaking dollars for this 2 point something Mb download (a regular song is twice that size) they would make all but one playlist party teams only? I have to find people who have downloaded this before i can party up with them!! what the hell!!!! Nevertheless, I downloaded this, and need a partner or two to play some of the Party team only games, so shoot me a message on XBL to "A Nutty Buckeye" and we can play together. Mic please.

I LOVE this game and I've played it constantly since the demo was released.  This DLC is enough to make me quit.  Three more modes when barely anyone plays the extra mode that already exists?  I no longer have faith in Ensemble-turned-Robot.  I would have bought it and loved it for a reasonable price of: > 400 or less < points.  10 bucks?  Let's compare what we can get for that price on the same XBL Marketplace:

 COD:WAW Map Pack 1: Contains 3 multiplayer maps and 1 coop (zombie) map.  The zombie map alone is worth more than this entire DLC.

Any map pack for that matter is the same 800 points.

Knothole Island,  Broken Steel (and other Fallout 3 expansions), etc...

Oh but these are game modes, you can't compare them to these, Robot will say.  Ok fine, let's look at a recent and very big DLC game mode: L4D introduced Survivor which also included Versus modes for the other two campaigns.  How much was this?  FREE!

Even RE5's ridiculously ridiculed mode DLC was 400, and that included FOUR (4!) variations of Versus multiplayer.

 What does this mean?  Robot has killed HW at a time where it is needs long legs.  It doesn't even show up on the top 10 played games any more...

I'm torn, because I love Halo Wars, and I want to support Ensemble/Robot/MGS.  And while I'm really looking forward to the new DLC, I'm wont to agree that this isn't that great of a deal.  That said, I've not played the new DLC yet, so who knows...

A Nutty Buckeye:still a rip off. I own this disc, I wanna play the stuff on it because I already bought it!

Please... do mention of where you obtained this info. What dev said that the new modes are on your disc? Are you 5?

Oh man, this just ruined my day. I was so looking forward to this DLC.

800 points, 800? are you serious? Resident Evil Verusus was only 400 and even that felt like I shouldn't be paying for it, Fallout DLC packs 800 points each, Which all added completely new areas, weapons, characters, story and equipment, Left 4 Dead DLC which is free and add one new gamemode and a complete new area as well as a significant balance patch.

And then there is Halo Wars......800...points, for what? 2mb, which contains new fonts for the game mode, a small bit of code and couple of new voice samples (which where probably on the disc)

and to top it all off, you can't even play 2/3 of the DLC by your self.

I want this but 800 is so overpriced, look on the marketplace 800 points can get you a great game, my recommendation Bionic Commando rearmed (I think thats on deal at the moment also)

800 points should be reserved for substantial DLC, like the fallout packs and the Halo 3 packs......not game modes which over games offer for free (Halo 3, Battlefield BA, Left for Dead)

This is a prime example of "dropping the ball"

 

I would have payed 800 MSP for 1 new map, serious. As for new gamemods? Not a chance (unless your going to host some major new gamemode tournament where theres loads of cash up for grabs :)
