I seriously think Aloysius should throw that post on the front page, or sticky it somewhere, like a "things to keep in mind" sticky where all that kind of stuff goes. I never even thought of that (the fact that certification and testing and every other thing you need to do for a patch/whatever to go live takes forever and a half). I dont think anyone else did either.
I guess im fairly satisfied with this, especially knowing that there is at least something in the works for the hogs. Maybe tech tier 4 for guass? 2 pop per warthog is just ludicrous, because then it loses its effectiveness as a scout unit - I have to keep 2 population always open instead of 1 just so I can do one of the most basic and important things in an RTS (scout). And to that, I dont think ive ever seen 40 guass hogs come at me. Ive only ever seen about 15-25, which still do enough damage, especially after early gunner/grenedier harassment. the problem is that they can simultaneously get guass with minimal effort WHILE they harass and expend. Grenadier and gunner arent the problem though, because they can be killed before they kill everything you have.
At any rate, as soon as the DLC comes out, I will be very happy. I cant wait for the random unit mode. Combined with this patch, its gonna be awesome.
