Guys what the -BLAM- are you talking about... that was absolutly NO anime in it, notice how there eyes were perportional to there heads? note how the body is perportional, and the feet are normal size. Note no weird people with purple hair.

    so basicly? No

Look I'm an anime fan, I download anime dircetly from Japan, I watched a lot of animes, the only thing that was the guy in hog gasping(probably he was japanese), the music sounded like from a movie or game from ancient middle-east. So probably what you guys are saying is that you hate this game just because one guy gasped when his ally got shot in a trailer video, and the sudden change in music. What's one gasp and short music clip compared to millions of soldiers comandeering big tanks, destroying everything that is not human so they don't get anally probed overnight by aliens?

P.S. Animes always have these elements: guys that look like girls, and women with oversized busts

The marine going "huh" was simply him gasping because his fellow marine just got shot and the music is simply classical that was made to go along with the theme of the trailer.

People complain too much over the smallest detail. NEWSFLASH: Nothing in the world is perfect, not even Halo, but it still kicks ass

    Re: Too Japanese Anime "ish"

I just watched the trailer again a couple of times and the only thing im noticing is the gasp. I don't know what traditional Japanese music you are refering to but the music from the trailer sounds more like a modern orchestral piece to me, just like the music in Halo(2) in fact the most oriental part of it to me is the halo theme being done with some string instrument when the Elite is picking up the guy. In no way does it seem to me more anime like than any of the previous Halo media. Not to be rude but it seems that just about everybody agrees that there is minimal if any influence in the trailer. The Elites certainly don't look to have been conceptualised in the traditional style of Japanese animation ( alien species wearing torso heavy armor), and the marines faces above their masks don't look especially asian to me.

The only way Halo would look like an anime, is if Cortana gets huge breasts, Sgt. Johnson looks like Michael Jackson, Spartans and Elites having superpowers able to destroy the world in less than 5 seconds, grunts are sealed inside a shrinkable pod so they can be dispatched anywhere, humans having a rainbow for hair, Master Chief being a pre-teen boy chosen to save the world... wait... strike that part of Chief being chosen to save the world at a young age, and last but not least, transformations, every anime involves a transformation, wether its turning to a demon, getting oversized swords, or become hairier than bigfoot, all animes include transformations. Does this trailer include any of this?

Gee, you know. It's an arctic setting. Last time I checked, folks had a tendency to cover their mouths in a habitat like that. God forbid your men keep warm becuase it might look "Japanese." And oh hey, you just heard someone screaming bloody murder over the headset, but you can't show any emotion, becuase that also might look indicitave of anime. The music? It's the Halo theme with an instrument different from what we normally hear. Just because you put a twist on a song doesn't mean its Chinese or Japanese. Suicide yourself.

I too Dislike Anime, this is the first time that it has ever even occered to me that the game could be leading in that direction. And I still think it is not. I relly didn't see any coralation between the two.
