OK THERE WAS NO SPARTAN 1 PROJECT!

do you know how this can be proven?
spartans are cyborgs! cyborgs are machines and humans combined. THEY DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN! and even if that were possible, given that the right endowments were kept, theyd be spreading their human DNA, because the baby of them can not be born as a machine, phisically impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also, now that i have proven that there is no spartan 1 project unless it was a failed project and that the succeeded project was Spartan 2 project, guess what spartans were made for and when they were made, do you have any idea? obviously not. you see if you would of read the little booklet that came with Halo: Combat Evolved, it says that Spartans were made for a specific mission, that mission was to invade a covenant cruiser and kill all covenant onboard, while finding the coordinates of the covenant homeworld so that the humans could then turn all their forces on the homeworld to destroy the vast majority of covenant and also at the same time eliminating the covenant leaders

     ok point proven

Spartans are NOT cyborgs. They are augemented human beings in armor. They are physically capable of bearing children(obviosly the females). An example of this would be Spartan-II Maria-068. She retired from the S-II program to have a family. The S-1 was a failed project. The Spartan-IIs original purpose was to quell the insurrections in the colonies. The Spartan-IIs original mission was to board a covenant ship, take the ship to the covenant homeworld, kidnap covenant leadership(a prophet) and take the prophet back to UNSC controlled space, and use the prophet to negociate a cease fire or even a peace treaty with the rest of the covenant.

You people are plain deluded...there is no such thing as a SPARTAN -I project...The only reason why the project was called SPARTAN-II was because the " SPARTAN-1 s" were the original inhabitants of sparta in ancient greece..

    http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/The_ORION_Project

There is such thing as the Spartan-I project codemaned project ORION. They were trained as elite soldiers. Thier offspring are "named" S-1.1, S-1.2 They recieved minimal augementations and were disbanded in 2493

Has this been proven by bungie or in the books? If so please enlighten me as to where it has been mentioned...If I remeber correctly ORION has to do something with weapons and you consider the fact that Ackerson was against the idea of super soldiers....It would be quite contradictory if he were to do what he despises.....

All information on the S-1s are in the Halo Graphic Novel. Project ORION is in The Flood. Ackerson was againgst the idea of Spartans yes. But he is willing to do what must be done to protect humanity. So he created the S-IIIs read Ghosts of Onyx. Remember this, i am always right

Re: The Spartans Armor In the trailer

UNSC AI #23 Is definantly right... Seriously, if you guys are gunna come in here all guns blazing trying to prove everyone wrong at least do your research Confused

Ok, the original Spartans that the Halo Spartans were named after were ancient Greeks. Fought the Athenians etc, were brought up from a VERY young age to be soldiers. One small group of spartans killed thousands of Persians in the brief time that the Greeks were united, and this ultimatley won them the war...

Spartan-I's, the first time (that i am aware of) that these guys were mentioned was in the ilovebee's stories, they were willing participants in the Spartan-I project, not much is really known about these Spartans as they were before the MC's time. One could guess though that they had very minor augmentations and were trained to be elite warriors, best of the best...

Spartan-II's, the Master Chief was the squad leader of these guys, if you read the books you get the full story. Basically, 75 children were kidnapped by the army when they were 6, taken to REACH and trained to be soldiers. At 14 (i think) they were put through an almost experimental augmentation process, resulting in half of the spartans becoming either deformed or just dying from they process. The remaining 30 something Spartan-II's went on as usual. Once the covenant glassed Harvest, the Spartan-II's were taken to a military facilty and given the MJOLNIR mk III armor. It had no shields, however it improved their reflexes and strength and speed almost as drastically as the augmentation had. The Spartan-II's were the only humans capable of controlling the armor due to this (as it describes an ODST attempting to use it being torn apart). The Mark III armor had no shield. When the Spartan-II's were sent onto their mission to capture a prophet, Dr Halsey gave them the Mark IV armor which, using captured covenant technology, had a shield system, which makes the Halo's we all know and love. I won't tell you anymore in case anyone trying to prove people here wrong hasn't read the book yet...

Spartan-III's, well, i can't really say much here because i can't get a hold of Ghosts of Onyx yet, so i'll let someone else *cough UNSC AI #23 cough*

Hold on, I'm pretty sure that the MJOLNIR without the shields is the Mark IV. Master Chief uses the Mark V in Halo: Combat Evolved, I'm almost positive this is right (haven' read the books in about 2 years, and currently reading GoO) because in the begging of Halo 2 Master Sgt. Gunns says:  "Well, I guess it was all obsolete, anyway. Your new suit's a Mark VI, just came up from Songnam this morning." which means its highly unlikely that Master Chief was wearing Mark IV during Halo: Combat Evolved, because Master Chief didn't get another amor upgrade until Halo 2.  Also in the Halo Graphic Novel the section titled Armor Testing in the second box some one says: "Preparing test and catalogue of A-12-121 MJOLNIR Mark VI Armor."  Also on the description page of the section it says: " that dear of Ma-117 didn't just knit him that suit og Mark V MJOLNIR Assualt Armor when he was a wee bairn."  So I think that the Armor that the SPARTAN-I's are wearing is the Mark III MJOLNIR Armor.

I'm pretty sure he mes the book The Flood by William C. The Spartan-II recieved MJOLNIR armor mark IV in the Damascus Testing Facility on Chi Ceti IV in March 2525. Harvest was glassed in November 2525. Mark IV has no shielding. Spartan-IIIs use a different kind of armor called Semi-Powered Infiltration armor(SPI) Spartan-IIIs were trained in 3 companies. Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Alpha and Beta companies were un-augemented. Gamma company received augementations similar to the S-IIs but with a much higher survival rate.

    iammitchell:

MJOLNIR mark I, II, III are all prototypes. The first MJOLNIR armor given to the Spartan-IIs is mark IV. The armor that the Master Chief uses in Halo: Combat Evolved is mark V. Which he recieved a little before the Fall of Reach. Spartan-Is had no armor.

Wrong. All Spartan IIIs were augmented.  If you read the battle reports you would realize that when the Spartan IIIs are rushing the covenant facility, they are running so fast, I believe 60 kph.  Unaugmented, in SPI armor nothing could run that fast.

When the augmentations for Gamma company is being described it is mentioned that ALL Spartans that went in survived. Not just a higher survival rate, but perfecion.

Re: The Spartans Armor In the trailer

the Spartan - Is are in ilovebees

    the HGN consistes of

"The Last Voyage The Infinite Succor" which chronicles some of the history of "half-jaw" and shows how he lost half his jaw in a fight with one of his infected elites, that at the beginning he's training against

"Armor Testing" shows the Mark V (i think) armor that later is used by the Master in a use by a Spartan-II that left to start a family, starting with a sub-orbit jump, upper atmospheric sniping, hot-drop and other technical things

"Breaking Quarantine" show Johnsons escape from the flood in "343 guilty spark"

"Second Sunrise Over New Mombasa" depicts the story of a reporter, whos job is to filter the information coming in from the field, to make it "appropriate" for the public, but questions whether they have the right to make the inhabitants of Earth believe their winning a war, that is far from over

u can click the titles of the stories to see the intro page for each story
