Plasma and Lasers are completely different.  Plasma boils through armor while Lasers go right through it.  A direct hit from an AT-AT's main guns at a scarabs leg would most likely rip it off, or disable it beyond repair.  Plus, two feet of armor that is way more advanced then the covenant's armor, I think a scarab's beam would not pierce the armor unless it was focused at the legs for at least 4 seconds. 

AT-AT: Firepower, Range, Armor, Accuracy

Scarab: Agility, Mobility, Versatility

Unless it was ambushed, the AT-AT would win.

yes thats one thing i'll give to the scarab, its much faster and much more manuverable.

 

oh and about the jedi, im pretty sure the jedi could have the spartans killing each other after a while of mind tricks

but jedi mind tricks only work on the weak minds...

perhaps there is a more sinister way to use the force?

In later Star Wars books, Luke is able to twist and grab the minds of sith to make them kill each other(he almost falls to the dark side doing it) so i think a spartan would be no problem.

Leave my Star Wars alone dude. These threads are really really annoying now. Halo and Star Wars can not be compaired because each is set in its own universe. Nothing that applies in Halo has to apply to Star Wars. Comparison therefore is pointless.

Ok lets go to First Strike MC almost got his head chopped off by an energy sword a lightsaber is basicly the same thing plus you have to understand depending on the Spartan they may have someone watching their back like an A.I. and a Motion tracker and jedi aint completely invinceable but that is beside the point as much as i love star wars and halo you have to notice the AT-AT stayed the same(as much as we now) but the scarab did change from halo 2 to halo 3 geting a downgrade to make it somewhat easier for a person to get in but the At-At is very vulnerable at the knees and legs (hence it fell because of a cable rapped around it. the beam is a whole lot more powerful then an At-AT arsonal  an At-At was taken down by a handgrenade or their version of c4and in halo you have to shoot and destroy a sheild then the core to blow it up. 25 storm troopers (Not clones i dont no about you but i no for a fact they dont use clones in 4 5and 6)  (trust me i have a good friend who reads every single book) and their armor isnt as strong as elietes with blasma rifles carbines and energy swords or brutes with spiker and brute shots

not true kiewefrog the same premise of the plasma cannon just scaled down to fit on that platform the cannon on the ship melted away a HUGE hole through Grade a Titanium (ship hull) so im pretty shure it beats it  and the covenant armor is much stronger thentank armor because im pretty sure you cant shoot a tank shell through it the quickest way ive seen it destroyed was 3 shots with a MAC cannon so id give the scarab armor and firepower

ye found out the book name " the unseen queen"

AT-AT cause it has better ammor and the scrab has a weak point because of weak armmor at the legs which cause the scrab to stop giving enough time for the AT-AT to finish it also the scrab has a weak point in the back as u notice in halo 3
