    Okay Great Kiewefrog .

But you do agree, 'some' vehicles should survive a fall...even spartans?

Thanks for your intelligent, very well thought out input.

    I bless you.

    Fisher321:

Well in all the Halo 1 vehicles are indestructible. In Halo 2 the only thing that blows vehicles up is another vehicle crashing into it or it explodes. Or when some one shoots at it for a long time (That is very unlikely that a vehicle explodes due to a guy with a magnum.)and some more.

In Halo 3 if your above sand trap in forge and you drop a  mongoose when your as high as you can go, it explodes, but scorpions don't,  A warthog explodes also, but half way above sandtrap is a different story, only mongooses explode.

Interesting..so some vehicles on Halo 3 survived high falls...then why can't it be on Halo Wars?

The mongoose should never survive a fall then...but we don't even know if it will be in the game, highly doubtful.

Thanks for this interesting bit of info.

    Fabulous contribution.

    Re: Large Falls?

Should ODSTs be able to parachute out of a Pelican or Albatross that is about to descend and crash?

    Replies....

    Re: Large Falls?

Yes I do think they should be able to. ODSTs are highly trained but maybe only a few should survive...

    Re: Large Falls?

    I agree with you.

Yes, 'maybe' two out of a squad should fall to their deaths.

Thank you for your nice contribution.

    Re: Large Falls?

How about a warthog parachute down instead of falling... that might be a bit too much.

Or maybe if you have this really mountainous or rocky terrain and a pelican or albatross can't get anywhere low, you could have scorpions and warthogs parachute down...

    Good idea. Very thoughtful.

It would make it so you can deliver vehicles nearly anywhere.

I agree, but they shouldn't parachute down when their transport has been shot.

    Re: Large Falls?

    Yeah...

About having waterfalls, it's a great idea and the scenery would be great.

If let's say, you needed some type of electrical power source, you could use the waterfall as a power source... that would be cool...

Yes, the waterfalls would be an excellent addition to the scenery in the game.

    Excellent contribution.

    Re: Large Falls?

Yeah, lets say you need electricity for your base, you can create a building that uses the waterfalls falling water to create electricity. That could be used to power up everything. That is if you need electricity...

    just an idea

    Re: Large Falls?

I think the UNSC has portable generators for powering their bases. They wouldn't really need to rely on nature.

Yes, also the Spirit of Fire is orbitering over them, so it could send down resources and stuff.

No, if you ever look at ODSTs they do not carry parachutes on them, they travel light enough as they are deployed in those pods and with the weapons they bring would not have enough room. Although i guess there could be parachutes in the pelican i doubt they would have enough time to bail out, instead they should have a greater chance of surviving a crash than regular marines.

When pelicans and other flying vehicles crash should they do damage to ground units in their path, possibly even killing them? Also what would happen if air units collide in mid air?

Actually thats false. At the beginning of Delta Halo on Halo 2. Master chief is inside a drop pod, and he bangs on the door. He clearly has enough room to move his hands freely. Plus he is in a Mjolnir Mark 6 armor. So ODST's would have plenty of room to move.
In all the Halo's I have never seen a parachute in a pelican. So I doubt there will be any in the game. If a F-16 flies into a tank what will happen, what will happen if it collides with another F-16? Those are the results I'm looking for in Halo wars. Except I hope mid-air collisions are not in the game.

    Re: Large Falls?

yeah but they still didnt bring any lol, plus it would have to be secured in the pod and i doubt they would be enough room for one or a need for one in a drop pod for that matter
