mine is SPARTAN-008, Li because instead of ducking and surviving that Plasma blast he sacrificed himself for the other SPARTAN's (by still fighting the Elites that snuck up on them)

*Spoilers if you don't want to know about some forerunner background*  I would have to say that I admire Didact the most.  He was the one who had to fire the halos to destroy the flood, yet he waited to the last second to light the rings in hope that he could save the Librarian.

    wtf

the didact might be my least favorite character.  if he hadn't stalled for so long to save the librarian, he could have saved his species.

he let emotions stand in the way of what he needed to do.

come to think of it, l admire the librarian.  she sacrificed herself (and, thanks to the Didact, all of her kind) to save humanity and countless other species of sentient life.

    Re: Most admired....

Mendicant Bias, I don't admire him, but I find him some what....interesting.

He was created to coordinate the war against the flood, but ended up betraying his creators and assisted the flood in wiping out the forerunners.

100,000 years later, on the ark, in a attempt to atone for his betrayal, he says he'll help the Master Chief. Its speculated that he's the reason why the chief and Cortana survived in activation of installation 04-2

    Re: Most admired....

I'm gonna have to say the marines in Halo CE:

    1. They don't eat

    2. They don't sleep.

    3. They are truly everywhere. Consider that there were only three surviving life pods. Those guys just flew around Halo.

    4. They pwn whenever they got a sniper.

    5. They didn't get mad when I stuck them with plasmas.

    6. They pwned me when i shot them.

    7. They forgave me when I got away.

    8. They have funny lines.

    9. They're complete idiots, but in a funny way. I was on the level "Halo" and two marines were trying to fit through this doorway, but they couldn't, so they just kept running in place.

    10. They can survive ten hits from a hunter, but not one from a warthog.

Always ready for a good fight...

No offence James, but there was hundreds of marines on Alpha Halo.  Its in The Flood by Eric Nylund.

3-400 i think, and there werent just 3 lifeboats, if your talking about from the level halo, there were at least 4 besides the one you arrive in.

not to mention the helljumpers, who are the best (besides spartans) ever. FEET FIRST INTO HELL.

There were several surviving lifepods. I'm not sure how many. Also alot of marines got off the ship by pelicans, and others stayed in the ship and survived the crash.
