Rhino as in the animal, not the tank. I think it was in Ghosts of Onyx.

    KrAzY:

a trained unagumented human can flip a car....

MC is not only trained... but is biomedically altered.... and has his armor that gives him even more of a physical energy boost....

I dont think that it is out of the range of abilities of a spartan to flip over an overturned tank...

Yes a car is what, two tons? [And the books never say how much a human can lift. And not many folks I know in real life can lift a car]

Lets say a Spartan can lift 3 tons, and the spartan armor can triple his strength. That's nine tons, that's alot in all senses. But a tank, 77 tons. That's not a Spartan, that's bloody Superman.

Like I said before, there's a difference between lifting a car and rolling it.

leverage, my friend, leverage. You only need to lift half the weight[if even that] of the tank beause you're flipping it, not bench pressing it.

When he flips it, it also goes up into the air partially, so in all truth he is throwing it to get it back on it's right side. He's not pushing it or rolling it.

    Re: Logic vs. Fun

Some people in real life can lift a mini-van, so lifting a warthog shouldn't be too much trouble for a spartan.  However, a scorpian is another story.

    I didn't say pick up

to roll a scorpion tank you would only need to put 2 or 3 tons of force on one side.... because it is bottom heavy the weight will make it so the bottom is always down... so once you get it started rolling... it will do the rest of the work itself

What if it's upside down, not on it's side?

Only makes it easier. The Scorpion would be easy to rock on its turret, gaining speed.

I still can't see the Chief doing that, even rolling it, it doesn't seem possible. He had a problem beating a Elite that doesn't use argumentations in First Strike, that means wouldn't a Elite be able to walk up to a non moving tank, reach down and flip it like it was nothing. If that's the logic we're using here. And again, the Elites aren't the Man of Steel nor is the Chief thus, I can't see it as possible.

    elites CAN flip overturned tanks

I do not think the MC could flip a tank that was right side up.... just because of how tanks are built to not flip....  the shape of the overturned tank is such that not much force is nesscary to flip it back the correct way up

    Re: Logic vs. Fun

I just can't believe it... Because the game is as it is... a game. If we went as if the game was complete canon and the books were to be ignored, we'd have the marines as brain dead, jumping in front of your sights, imbeciles all the while driving over you without complaint instead of an organized fighting force that held off the Covenant for a quarter of century. If we went by the games, there would be seventy Johnsons (as seen from Halo: CE) fighting for the UNSC. We would've found out how the Chief got off Halo, how he got back to Earth.

What I'm trying to say is, the games may show him flipping a tank, but in real life, is it possible. From the information the books give us, is it possible? From what I've seen and read... I think not.
