mcz: I have just one question, the population numbers in the human-flood war just dont make much sense. If what you wrote is correct, then no flood or human actually died in the whole war. Because the numbers are still around 200M. So can you pls explain or is it just a mistake?
As time progresses, the human population goes down while the Flood population goes up.The UNSC has very little rescources left, even a few years after the war. Canonly, and as I've indicated, only three ships were left in service ( I'm pretty sure ). Humans died but the Flood infected the dead bodies. Like zombies.
Yako-127: hes right the humans probably would have blown the crud out of some flood with nukes bombs etc.

The humans had very few 'superweapons' left at this time. The majority of their military firepower was sent out against the Covenant. This story is the end of those other two. Consider this the combination and advancement of the combination of The Reclamation of Earth and Rise of the Flood.
yanrocks: no offense, but the armor stats of the mark VIII are really bad compared to the mark V and VI. first of all, the shield display isn't new at all, and motion tracker have been on unsc huds for many years. also, only 5 times there body weight, thats kind of pathetic compared to master chief. also what about mark VII? you jumped right to 8.
Ok thanks. It should be VII not VIII. But although the features are not all new, they are vastly improved.
