I remember in some article I read Ensemble Studios said they were definitely going to do a beta or a demo. My bet is that they're going to show one off at E3 (a playable demo, or beta, I don't know) and then a month later release it to us. That would nice, at least.

They've promised us a demo before release. Nothing on a beta though.

i honestly think there is only one point for a beta (or such) for HW...publicity...most people dont even know its being made, its only the die-hards like us who really even care

Well us die hard halo/rts fans should get a taste of the game before hand so we can give new ideas and how to improve the game.(and yes i know some one said something along these lines earlier)btw its good to back on the forms again... last time i was regularly posting there was some a-holes callin everybody noobs because they didn't have pictures in there signatures and started to flame everybody for the stupidest reasons.It just wasent worth it to post and till now i haven't paid much attention to the forms... and if you read this all then you have nothing to do or you agree with me or you have your own strange reasons...

When the Beta is out, all active members should get the code through a PM or e-mail, so people with 0 posts wouldnt get it.

 And it will prolly have 1-2 multiplayer maps with all units available. (like in the WiC beta)

I bet there will be a beta for choice people because it is so highly coveted. i beta test every thing i can cause i  think the bleeding edge is fun. and then when the game is released there will be a demo in the market place. RTS is so different than FPS i dont know but i will buy it im a halo fanboy. So I cant wait but more over wars is set as prequil and i do think there is still a story line for halo 4

I didn't care about frontlines until I played the demo then I became a fan. I still haven't bough it but I want to.

I think a beta would be awesome, it would allow Rotaretilbo and I to see it and give advice. I know for myself that I love to be a beta tester, mainly I think I would be good at it.
