Helljumper24:Can we plz let this thread die come-on leave this nosense
just becasue a game is on computor dosen't make it good
You're post is anchored to mine (meaning you clicked the reply button above my post). Did you actually read my post though? I just got done explaining that we weren't discussing what it should be for, but why the decision that was made was made. There is a subtle (read rather obvious) difference.
John:I am with you on this one Rotaretilbo... It was Ensemble's decision for which platform it was being designed, not the user community... The whole decision was most probably based on the fact that Halo was a console based game, so Halo Wars will go the same route... Nothing against PC's, awesome machines, but there is already a vast range of games available for them, so why not allow us to have one as well? Just seems fair, and you will get a port of the game in a couple of months as well, so be patient... :)
Might take more than a couple months, but I do expect that eventually, whether ES or some other third party does so, there will likely be a port to PC. The main reason they stuck with one system is because making a game for multiple systems at once is more difficult, meaning that sacrafices have to be made, resulting in a watered down version. However, the reason they chose Xbox 360 over PC is likely due to the fact that Halo has, thus far, always launched for an Xbox console as well as because ES wanted to take a stab at console RTS (if they are successful, they will become rather popular...and thus far, I'm pretty sure they'll be successful).
Oh, and welcome to the forums.
RonTom:if they did all that it wouldnt sell xbox 360. there are guys that are getting xboxes (microsofts console) just to play halo games (microsofts franchise), and this is one halo game. end of discussion, there was no need to make it 6 pages long. one day it might come out for pc, but who knows?
Actually, if it released for both systems (Xbox 360 and PC), it would likely sell very well for both, because there aren't too many people with PCs capable of running Halo Wars efficiently. However, as stated before, making the game for both systems would result in a watered down version, which none of us want.
I like pi.
