This is the sequel to my 4 and a half star rated Fan-Fic covenant lies. This one will take you through the times of Halo 2. The species i chose for this one is a hunter.

                                                   CHAPTER 1, LOCATION: High Charity, Date: 2552.

    I was walking through the prison halls, the hunters were told to gaurd while the brutes were off duty, it was boring walking around just watching helplessly as jackels scratched at you. I had already gotten in trouble once for smashing through a prison cell and killing three grunts because they thew there food back at me. I laughed to myself as i remembered that they still havent fixed the hole in the wall my plasma cannon made. I was supposed to ship out today for the gym but i got stuck watching these wastes of flesh. The jackels wouldnt quit hissing at me, even when i pointed my cannon at it, and that usually works with the grunts. I dont know if jackels are dumber or if grunts are more cowardly. An elite walked through the prison doors.

    "How come your here?" The elite asked.

    "I didnt muster an invitation, im taking over for brutes." I said looking at the prisoners in contempt. The elite padded me on the shoulder as he walked off.

    I was just ready to growl at the jackels that still refused to shut up when some alarms went off. Then the prophet of truths voice came over the speakers.

    "All covenant prepare for slipspace intercept, we are going to another sacred ring." As his words left the speakers i felt the station jump.

     I ran to a nearby window and saw as the ring enveloped, i had only heard stories about the first ring found but i never actually seen one. Three brutes walked in and set down a dead body.

    "Our break is over, and your commander wants you." Growled one of the brutes. As i scowled at them i saw a golden elite walk through the door.

    "My hunters, come, we are needed at the surface."Said the elite. I followed him out of the prisons and as i passed the brutes i shoved the one that growled at me into the cage with the jackels. i laughed as i heard the brute scream in pain when a jackel sliced at his flesh.

    We got to the hangar where some grunts were being sucked up into the belly of a phantom. Our shipmaster was getting into a phantom beside ours. He was walking with an energy sword drawn out. As i was sucked into the phantom i noticed our ships were heading to a dark part of the ring, it looked almost graveyard like. An elite walked nearby that looked like a council member.

    "The prophet of regret was killed by the demon." Said the elite, then he walked away to give the news to other shipmasters.
