I thought of A new gametype

                       Infection

             8+players

1 CPU flood player starts with a gravemind

2 CPU URF (if they are not added UNSC)

1 CPU Covie The goal is 2 either

    1) defeat all other players

    2)defeat all CPUs

(all sides have a premade base and tech tree lvl 3)

plz tell me if U have any Ideas 2 add

    nope. fail

i'm sure another forum-goer can explain why, i'm too lazy

Besides the forcing of nonflood classes and the high tech tree start for nonflood, it really wasn't that bad.

    You fail.

No I think that is a correct statment because they are smaller and can jump over 3 times their hight and can run extremly fast.

    Thanks.

    dragoon9105:
of course infection forms should be fast i mean there created in mind to do one thing, infect so originaly the flood would need the,m fast enough to catch up with anbient creatures on a said planet. perhaps there can be an upgrade that allows infection forms to "lunge" the way they do in the halo games.

The lunge is really instrumental for the Infection Forms, because in small numbers, without lunge, they'd stand no chance at all.

    JohnDoeNo578:
They don't really lunge more like pounce.

How you argue semantics, Mr Miles.

    spartan 023:
Plz do not flame me for necoring but shouldn't we take into account that the chief trained since he was 6,Gpt agmented for super strength, and Has on armor that makes hime even STRONGER.

The point is that the Chief probably couldn't punch through, say a metal door without at least bruising his hand. He punched through the Proto-Gravemind like it was paper mâché. It isn't like the average guy could punch right through it, but the Proto-Gravemind is still more vulnerable than, say, a building.

    zaki90:
    tier 0 ?

    wtf,

a tier 0 means its feral stage.

Edit:As for the blood thing. When all the stuff in blood is gone. You get a clear liquid called plasma.the infection form must use all the minerals in the blood to increase muscles. And then they replace it with spore in the plasma.

You realize you replied to an old quote rather than the post, right?

The Flood would have a terrible time if the other faction started later in tech levels, even if the Flood did also. The Flood isn't so focused on tech as army size. The only reason they can survive a normal game without infecting any units until that tech level is because they would have more Infection Forms than they would know what to do with.

Ah, the power of laziness. :p

True, but the forcing of class and high tech start are the only things that differentiate it from a normal Skirmish game.

"Besides the forcing of nonflood classes and high tech tree to start for nonflood, it really wasn't that bad?!"

I believe that it doesn't have to be a gametype, you can do that with normal skimish, minus the high tech tree part, but that's not really necessary. In fact, it's actually not a good idea because I don't want a premade base with higher-up tech. I can do that on my own (although I do like the 8+ players part).

It fails because it wouldn't fall under a gametype category, more of a customize-my-skirmish-rules category. And I hope the "The goal is to either 1) defeat all other players 2) defeat the CPUs" part is a misspell or bad choice of wording. What, I (or my "allies") can choose to either go for the CPU's or me or the other players?

Agreed. What was suggested felt like a slightly modified regular Skirmish game, and the modifications were what needed to be cut out.

Juggernauts. The only thing slightly not talked about.

    Can they destroy scarabs?

All on their own? Hell no. When backed up by lots of other Flood forms, maybe.

    Just one? No.

    Hell maybe.

Remember, anything fast enough can just go behind the scarab and bludgeon it with a good commander and manuevering.

Well, They could go under it and use their tentacles to latch on the bottom and pull it down.

Or could hang on the legs and pull them apart.

I assume you guys know what a juggernaut looks like, how fast it moves, how it kills its targets, etc.

I don't. Can you show me a pic? It seems like a juggernaut is halo canon (or perhaps something they cut from the game) and not just something the author of the forum made up. maybe a vid link...?
