The Forward Unto Dawn has enough power up front to run the Cryo tube. Even without it's primary reactor, it requires a TINY amount of power to run a cryo tube. Backup batteries or even a backup reactor is almost certain to exist. UNSC Fusion Coils are no doubt scattered throughout the ship, and those won't have any issue in powering the tube for years and years.

Cortana? Read Contact Harvest. It will explain to you how an AI can cycle into active/inactive to preserve itself. Mack and Loki trade off every few years to allow themselves to "rest." Given a few years to categorize data, an AI can theoretically last forever.

Re: Master Chief is Dead, Lemme Tell You Why

xXCrocmonXx:He is dead. Not coming back. Snap from your fantasy world: he is a Spartan, and all the Spartans in the story have died except for the ones on Onyx, and they're as good as gone because they are just going to procreate in that shield world while the rest of the galaxy struggles to recover from the Human-Covenant War.

=/ Why don't people know how to seperate quotes? It's not hard and it makes everything so much easier to read...

And second. You don't seem to get it. 343 can make up anything they want, you can say certain things aren't possible or implausible, but it doesn't matter if 343 gives an explanation as to how he was found.

We could sit here and come up with all of the reasons he's dead and it won't do anything because they will do thing to continue this story. The impracticalities of the story are nothing when 343 could say a scouting ship picked up the beacon Cortana dropped. Or even that the Precursors stepped in and took Mater Chief back. Practical solution? No. Possible solution? Yes.

Not to mention galaxies are celestial bodies and as a result they have gravity so unless Chief is somewhere in the middle of nowhere he will be pulled back. Depending on the distance will give us the time. And since our portion of the solar system already exists on one of the outer arms of the galaxy it is not totally impossible for a UNSC or Covenant ship to be at the extremities of the galaxy itself.

The story of Chief's survival is not a matter of if, it's a matter of how.

"Die?"Kurt laughed."Didn't you know?"he told the Elite. "...Spartans never die."

Normally I would make an essay detailing how this would be undone, with multiple Stargate references, so many that it could be classified as a crossover fanfiction...

but I will not. I do not wish to be flamed mercilessly by forum antagonists like DC Sp@rt@ and jackalo.

But she practically gave herself Alzheimer's when she downloaded all of Alpha Halo's data. She is also going rampant in Halo: Origins (which should be considered canon since it was endorsed by 343 and isn't labeled a parody), and that's what her red spasms are supposed to indicate. She's losing her mind, and going Rampant.

I'm not really sure about the halo canon on smart AIs so correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't cortana just make a new smart AI from master chief?

Or even just program a new dumb AI there's not really much reason master chief needs a smart AI just to run his cyro pod and wake him up when hes needed.

Nah everyone knows that gravity ignores physics and can make people go past the speed of light... It's just the government is keeping it a secret because they don't want us to know that we're enslaving aliens from all over the universe. So global warming and asteroids were invented to keep people busy so that they didn't notice.

Oh? I would like you to prove to me that Galaxies do not possess gravity relative to the emptiness around it. And I would also like you to prove that the Sol system does not exist on he Pegasi arm of the Milky Way galaxy.

Maybe if you knew Halo 3's ending you would have a more valid argument. As he was not floating in the vast emptiness between galaxies. If he was caught in extra-galatic space he would not be near any planets. Which is shown that he isn't by the Legendary ending.

So Slayer, spew your supposed vast knowledge of physics and the relationship of mass and gravity.

I believe possessing the knowledge of Halo 3's legendary ending should be required to post in this particular thread. Seeing as how you and Slayer seem to lack that knowledge, maybe don't try to get into an argument you're not prepared for?
