Thanks for the link, but it still leaves for speculation, but a carrier i think would be the most likely. Also to the other guy, why should i be young ? I mean at wikipedia (my only source of knowledge on this) It states that Cruisers are the most powerful... which i probably should have said, but i think it being big is implied as well. and i would suppose there is a difference between our carriers and the future halo ones.

Eh ? If you are talking about Halo.. well i suppose so, but to judge from The Pillar of Autumn, it seems to be a powerful all purpose ship.... but i could be wrong, it has been awhile since i last played it.

The Covenant were always considered a major threat. They were never anything less than 'Possible Cause of Humanities Extincton' on the threat chart.

There's obviously a difference, but the size and power of the UNSC ships are carried over from today's Military Ship Structure.

At one point in the novel Halo: The Fall of Reach Marathon-class Cruisers are described as "the most powerful warship ever built by human hands."

The size and power are not necessarily taken from todays military. You've only seen two ships that you knew the classification for. Let me guess, your uncle works and Bungie, has read the Halo Bible, and told you, right?

Edit: Just because it is the most powerful doesn't mean it is the largest.

I don't care what you used, strongest does not equal largest.

Re: UNSC Spirit of Fire (CFV-88)-What type of ship?

You have a point, but that doesn't mean you should start insulting people.

Also it could be the largest because it is powerful, powerful weaponry require generators and ammo which takes up space, plus if they have a lot of marines on board they will need facilities as well, but you could turn it around and say that because carriers have a lot of marines they would be the biggest, and that might be correct as well.

I'm not saying your wrong, because I'm not exactly sure anymore if I'm correct about the carry-over of today's ships to the ships of the future. But can you prove me wrong so we can clarify this ??

Could you explain the Bungie sarcasm.  I don't get it.

Re: UNSC Spirit of Fire (CFV-88)-What type of ship?

I never insulted anyone. Also, destroyers have two MAC Cannons (At least the Iriqois, anyway.), where as cruisers have one (As far as we have been told). Therefore, destroyers would be bigger. Debunked and disproven.

Edit: The sarcasm was of the people that try to authenticate information by saying a family member or someone they know works at Bungie, and told them <Information X>. As for the carry-over, we don't know if they use todays military as a model for size, but I sincerely doubt they would.

I hope it's a carrior, it's more fitting for something that would deploy ground forces en masses.
