A nuclear weapon is a weapon which derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions of fission or fusion. As a result, even a nuclear weapon with a small yield is significantly more powerful than the largest conventional explosives, and a single weapon is capable of destroying an entire city.

A nuke is a nuke, it harnesses nuclear power for it's explosive capabilities, and TAC nukes are already being developed to take out high priority targets that are too dangerous to do multiple runs against, such as battleships, it'll be big enough to instantly destroy even a carrier but they're trying to get it to leave no radiation, because dropping nuclear radiation into the sea isn't generaly a good idea..

Nuclear weapons always leave radiation. Theres just acceptable limits people are trying to achieve.

And if you guys want to know what a nuclear weapon with a decent {20 megatons} yield would do, go watch Terminator 2, and look for the nightmare Sarah Connor has. A 10 megaton explosion would be about Hiroshima, and Tac-nukes generally keep it under one megaton.

wat they should do is: use the spartans the same way they did on Sigma Octainius IV. hav them go into teams and plant a nuke while at the same time, evacing surv ivors. (ya i know they found them on accident but still)
