    featherygiraffe:

    super units

are way too over used and take away from the fun of the game , and makeing an army of odst's isn't very strategical or wise

then why make an army of ODSTs?

    resigning

even when one person resigns it just messes up the whole game , its no fun

every game has a "quit" function, so shut it

    spamming units

just the whole game makeing one unit , its annoying and stupid

it's a strategy that is easy to counter

i think if all of us stopped doing this it would call everyone back to the game and would make it more popular

    I'm just curious about this:

What do you guys think we should do about resigners?

Before you get too into this, I'm pretty sure we're not going to do anything about it, but I'm just curious what you guys think would be okay.

We cannot remove points for resigning, that'd never ever happen, but what other "punishments"?

Re: reasons why not many people play halo wars

if there is 100 people playing, there are enough to have fun game.

just playing through 100 poeple in different game is alot, now theres 5000.

theres more the enought people that you will play different people and have fun.

Super units fail. odst are worthless. powerturret>grizzlie. hawks get owned 5:1 against wolverines.

I think you should be timed out from Mm somehow. like a 10 or 20 min hold till you can play again. If your resign was for a legit reason, like you have something to do then it wouldn't matter to you. Only the ones who resign out of spite or rank will be affected.

In unarranged games have an AI take over?

Im really sick of searching for ten mins  tofind a game. only to get a resign. then that happens ten times. two hours maybe one actual match

give the enemy 1000/(n/60)^2  point extra.

where n is the number of seconds passed in the game.

the teammates in ua should also get the points.

Also if a teammate resigns in UA his starting resources should be split between his mates.

Re: reasons why not many people play halo wars

Arbiter 1337 stated why perfectly. Hell even if you do compare this game to others you'd be shocked to know how few play them online. Uncharted 2 has like no more than 8000 people online at any given time, and that game just came out a couple weeks ago, where-as halo wars came out like 9 months ago and is a CONSOLE RTS, not a shooter, and has more or less the same amount of people playing online. And the super units don't fail, people just don't know how to use them properly, or situationally... if odst murdered everything then how balanced would that be? they aren't meant to be uber omg pwn.

honestly hust split the resources between the teammates who now have to play 2v3 or 1v2.

odsts suck, against good people. you either win before it or you lose before it. if you go straight for it, you will lose.

grizzlies loses to power turret tanks

anti air murders all air, including hawks.

in the end, in a high level match you are better off spending the money elsewhere and since the super unit never makes a difference.

I think a 15 second countdown timer would be nice. After a player resigns, the oposing player/players have 15 seconds to destroy the quiter's units and buildings for extra points. This only happens if the last player on the team quits.

Arbiter 1337:Now, the remaining few that want to play strategy games, that want to learn, and want to press on though the learning curve come across the biggest killer of all; the rushing! Rushing is imediately frowned upon by begginers because they see it as the easy option, the lack of skill instant win strategy. Begginners do not know how to beat a rush, and can't see any possible way to beat it, this turns away a good 60% of players new to RTS. The ones that remain must now try and learn to beat this rush, and again, its super tough to them, it's has a steep learning curve, and they see no progress at all. They will fail to beat every rush until they finally learn how to, which can take many many games. This again turns away alot of players.

i agree rushing is a big stopper but once you get past it you love it!

I accually never had a problem with it im pretty laid back playing RTS games so when I got rushed for the first time I thought "lol, wow, that's a really good idea" and started doing rushes myself. took me awhile to get a build for a rush before 5 mintues and to relize that setting a rally point on the telporter was possiable but I got it!

    Laid back!?!

I've seen your videos, you can't keep sitll, your like a Gazel on steroids. Do you take Riddlein?

that's because my diet constists of monster energy drinks and sour patch, it's a wonder im still skinny and not 500 pounds overweight, lol

also monster energy drinks somtimes give me stomach aches anyone know why, im to lazy to look up myself.
