Probably a stupid question but what is a hook?

Another nugget of information to blow the newbies mind.

The Supply Elevator does not suffer from Diminishing Returns like a Supply Pad does (IE: More SP's you have, the less resources per minute you get from your next SP).  It's roughly equivelant to having that unit nonstop gathering a crate node, in essence.

I am also new, but I pretty much suck. :P Maybe I should start playing on Anders or Prophet of Regret since that seems to be all the rage, lol. Cutter and Forge isn't winning me many games cut 1v1... :|

 I always wondered what hook meant and for the life of me could not figure it out. What is that diminishing supply gathering thing you're talking about, though? Is it not beneficial to have a lot of supply pads because of that (glitch?)?

The more supply pads you have, the more resources you get. But for every supply pad you build, all of your supply pads give you less resources individually.
