studmuffin: bb2010: On maps like Blood Gulch or Blood River, you should be at least equal with Anders or have the advantage. I usually will make one elephant on BG as well as a barracks. The elephant will clear out one side's hooks while flamers from my barracks will try to take the other side's hooks. If you can do this, you'll have plenty of money to afford turrets, and be able to make counter units to gauss/gremlins.
On maps without lots of hooks, a good Cutter will have a very tough time against a good Anders. Anders can harass early forcing Cutter to turtle, and Anders can go expanding around the map. Regardless of where you are playing, map control is essential.
NEVER EVER make an elephant against anders, it wont work out well =/
you either need to put a spartan in it or lose aswell meaing a elephant is a 700$ investment early game along with the marines spawned from it it is VERY costly and takes to long to pay off and it's obvious were the elephant is, near hooks, so I can either jack it or I kill it with hogs. buildings an elepahnt will lose you the game trust me, if you lose it you almost cant win unless some lucky break of a random arby coming and killing all of anders hogs come.
a strat that will somtimes work is getting hogs yourself, with other leaders they can get gunner before anders and you do that and harrass anders hogs before they get gunner and you can even kill all of them meaning anders 2 minutes behind getting 4 more hogs. it will work from time to time and if your hogs are losing then pull them back and use them to get hooks, it's like an elephant without as much as expense =D
how does cutter/forge get gunner before anders? am i being sleepy/stupid again or is this someting i didnt know? or are u being stupid ? :P lol
