I wouldn't really suggest marines because they statistically fail against warthogs. Just start off with 2 diagonal turrets, slap railguns on them, and turtle up until you get some tanks out.

Edit:  And then prepare to get analraped by gremlins.  Because Cutter has such a failure for a unique unit. 

1st part: Marines get kited bad by the Chain gun hogs.

2nd part: Gremlins are why Anders is OP vs Anybody 1v1

Yeah, those are the only two good maps for Cutter vs. UNSC anyway.  Cutter and BC dominate on Blood River (PoR is decent too) and Blood Gulch is perfect for the elephant/barracks strat.

Yeah, those are the only two good maps for Cutter vs. UNSC anyway.  Cutter and BC dominate on Blood River (PoR is decent too) and Blood Gulch is perfect for the elephant/barracks strat.

I need to change my sig but so far my 1v1 record is 38-2 my loses were to the same person, EDK jesus or somthing and it was on Blood river, I hate facing covie on that map, the guy was a *** to =(

my other two losses with anders is in 2v2 against hella good players.

so far today though if you look at leader wins monthly I have 27 game played and 27 games won and a skill level of 45 and a 39 1v1 TS =D

On maps like Blood Gulch or Blood River, you should be at least equal with Anders or have the advantage.  I usually will make one elephant on BG as well as a barracks.  The elephant will clear out one side's hooks while flamers from my barracks will try to take the other side's hooks.  If you can do this, you'll have plenty of money to afford turrets, and be able to make counter units to gauss/gremlins.

a strat that will somtimes work is getting hogs yourself, with other leaders they can get gunner before anders and you do that and harrass anders hogs before they get gunner and you can even kill all of them meaning anders 2 minutes behind getting 4 more hogs. it will work from time to time and if your hogs are losing then pull them back and use them to get hooks, it's like an elephant without as much as expense =D

you dont outproduce hogs with a forge or cutter just get them at the start and they can get it jsut as fast, with forge & cutter do the anders build and get gunner for cutter it works well and for forge once you reasearch gunner you blow-up the reactor and then get another SUpplie pad and your back on track as forge but except with hogs.

I never said you were bad.  You beat me once on release, which is one of my least favorite maps because of the lack of space and hooks.  It was also an Anders mirror, and I hardly ever play using her.  I beat you Arby vs. Prophet on Blood Gulch, I think my leader had a huge disadvantage that game. :P  And when did you beat skiis?  He never said he lost to you. 

 

EDIT:  Skiis and I also destroyed you and Agro in that 2v2 tournament 2 - 0.  I consider myself a better team player anyway. :P

I beat him yesterday, I'll try to find the link but it was way to many games ago I think, and I dont remember facing your arby as POr but I'll take your word for it =/

Anders is better early game with hogs, everyone knows that.  My point was that you shouldn't waste money trying to beat them with their own leader's gameplan.
