um where do you get that from. elites were a warrior race and still feared spartans because they knew they were just as powerful as them in hand to hand combat.

O.K. Marines are groups of 4. 300 of them = 1200 marines. New Blood adds one more for 5. So 300 units = 1500. Medic adds another one for a total of 6. However, when you upgrade to ODST, the medics keep their assault rifles while everyone else gets shotguns. So, 1500 shotguns + 300 assault rifles.

efficient would mean that they got more kills per dead odst than the spartans
