Well, from the other messages as you can guess me and OB have aggreed to have a contest bettween each other.

Its his one about 3 kingdoms and my "Shadows Call" Novel.

 

We wondered if you wanted to lead the competition or be a judge or something.

Ah okay. That was about the size of my chapters a while ago. (I try to do around 3-4 now.)

I dont like to make chapters to long as if you do something wrong and it gets to draggy you reader cant be arsed reading the rest so they dont and then they understand the next chapter.

 

If you make them that long you have to be confident that you know they will keep reading it.

They vary. I've gone up to about 7-8 pages for some chapters, and prologues at about 1-2.

It depends what I'm writing, like a huge battle scene does take a lot of description and time to write through.
