The forerunner....its not plural but we all assume it is why?

Maybe the Forerunner(s) are like the chozo and they(it) just hide on their(its) worlds that are hidden from prying eyes....like  that world you layed on in prime Tallon IV.  I know no connection between metroid and halo but kinda similair in certain ways.

I'm pretty sure that all the forerunner are dead.  It seems to me that in the closing days of the forerunner civilization, everything was falling apart, and that most options had failed.  My best guess is if anything, forerunners survived on earth, because absolutely nothing happened to earth when halo went off, apart from the thawing of alot of glaciers and some unusual climate fluctutations.  

 That might explain why there are differen races on earth, if the forerunner were indeed human (we already know that primitive humans were living on earth at the time of Halo's detonation).   

 Or maybe they all died like 343 said they were.

i think the forerunners are alive it just gives some mystery into it.... even though there is al ready enough.

If you guys have read the book Ghosts of Onyx then you know that the rest of the spartans(cant remeber names) are trapped in a forrunner artifical "sheild world". THe forruners created the sheild world so that if rings were fired then any life form living inside would still live. THe book also say that the planet was VERY big. We all know that the forruners fired the rings to stop the flood and in the procces they died. BUT isnt it posible that some foruuners are still alive in either the sheild world or somplace in the galaxay. I just find it wierd that they would create this planet but then not use it.I mean they knew that they were firing the rings and were gonna kill all life. SO we really dont know if the forruners are COMPLETLY dead.

 

 

If that thing with ancients,(even though it was probley fake)  it was the covenant that set off the Halos, and thus the forunners had no warning.  Ironic that the covenant murdered their own "gods".
