I like it very much and am looking forward to finishing once completed. I'm not trying to be an editor or anything but "The spider-like creature rained down from the ceiling, bombarding his allies." I had to re-read that sentence a few times before realizing that creatures should be plural.  It could confuse some and mess up the flow of storytelling like it did for me.

Question as to the prolog. Was the ship UNSC as i think it was or was it Covenant? If it was UNSC then wouldnt the marines have self destructed the ship by the time they were the last survivors?

The marines were stuck in the Med bay, it was a surprise assault and the Flood quickly spread throughout the ship.
