Even though it has a cooldown time, the cleansing beam can be stopped by killing the Prophet (or making him run away). The MACx4 will kill any unit instantly, and if you spread it out you can kill someone's army off, or take out key buildings. It just rapes. The cleansing beam has more potential, but while using it you cannot micro your army or your prophet (MAC time!), and it eats resources.

Cleansing Beam is my favorite way to kill bases, but a Super MAC is a true base-killer. And the statement "can be called down anywhere on the map where you have line of sight"... that's not anywhere on the map!

I would have to say mac because of how it isn't bound to a unit and doesn't really need to be microed.

I lost this one game because of a successful make.

It was a total vehicle war. I had four cobras unpacked in front of my base, along with some wolvies and scorps. The cutter guy came in and took out my four cobras with MAC and unpacked his within range of my base. His army flooded in and slaughtered.

I'm gonna go MAC. It is stupidly powerful, annd if you get to x4 the one on the recieving end is screwed. It's also great for when you're down in a fight, call in a MAC and the tide is turned. Also great for taking out key structures.

The mac seems better that the Cleanse. The mac is more distructive and can easily be placed where ever you have vision. The only problem with the cleanse is that if your leader dies, then the Cleanse will be offline for a brief moment. But i believe the Mac Blast is better.

i will take arbiter rage over mac blast and cleansing beam anyday. its hard to kill the arbiter when he goes into rage mode cuz you cant get that good of a lock. and also a fully upgraded mac blast can kill one scarab but the arbiter can kill a scarab and more units after that. sure a cleansing but arbiter rapes a phrophet
