this timeI just wanted to say I scoff at change #12 because it is just one moreway the playing field is unnecessarily flattened. Unnecessary becauseanyone who ever thought about the mechanics behind (un)locking basesshould realize that garrisoned troops will fight sooner and moreeffectively if released without a rally point to run to first.

Another part of my argument comes from my experience with a different (ex-favorite) console game of mine:

Look at Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Devs took out all sorts ofneat/cheap little tricks advanced players could use to stand out fromthe average gamer from SSB Melee in SSB Brawl. This only led to theFAIL of the SSB series, to all my gaming friends at least. 

Onereason is because everyone played the same way no matter the character.Great, 10+ characters to choose from? Too bad they're all the same -.-

I'm afraid Halo Wars is heading down this road.

why are complaining about this? It doesn't seem like something gamebreaking or something worth any time discussing. Now im not for or against every nerf, PoR comes to mind. Just this one doesn't seem to be worth making a thread over.

thanks for all the responses - I say this because each had thoughtful input vs being pure flame ^^

So I often rely on 3 shielding a base in Deathmatch purely for the purpose of being able to build up a counter-army while under attack to unleash before the shield goes out. I have NOT tried removing a rally point AFTER unlocking a base, I don't know if that's any different than removing a rally point beforehand really... I will test. But this is besides the point.

My point was that this little gesture of pointing southwest + hitting "x" before unlocking base will not be a distinguishing feature for "just gentlemen" from "fine gentlemen." This is all I'm trying to say. I'm not saying Devs should leave glitches in because CLEARLY, I'm not glitching to get my troops out faster than some gentlemen I played who unlock while still having a rally point in some absurd place. This only results in his units running PAST my army- all the while dying to tank shells and whatnot.

Sorry for bringing in SSBB, was just trying to think of an example where, as a figure of speech, my 6 yr old cousin button smashing can actually take 1 of my lives where he wouldn't have gotten me above 20% before.

And other games 2 like halo2 dual wields use to PWN!! <3 SMG MAGNUM!! But nooooooo!!!!! NERF NERF NERF! Im surprised they didnt try to fix the bxr and double shot. But anyways H2 is the best FPS online multiplayer of aLL time. so they didnt do to bad. With the nerfing. i mean Jeez just work on Halowars2 leave part 1 alone. I want new freakin maps already im tired of nerfs

the updates for gears 2 were very necessary, and so are the ones for halo wars. do you think a hip fire in gears 2 should hit the ground in front of you? and do you really think that the concussive smoke grenades made the game more "tactical"?

if robot came out with new maps, people would say "how about you fix your game before you release more unbalanced content" or something like that. robot cant please everybody. 

I used to only play GOW2. I don't play it any more cause of the dumb updates. :(

What do you mean Halo Wars is going down the road to limited options and tactics, etc. It is expanding. Now gauss won't be as dominant and as a result you won't see everyone doing it.
