My two originals were Johnson and Vadam as they were for the other Offensive Bias, but Halo Wars added another two favs. Cutter and Serina. I like Serina's snarky humor, and Cutter seems to be channeling a bit of the essence of Captain Keyes.

It's kinda hard to decide on other favorites since I like a lot of the other characters kinda equally and tend to like certain races over actual characters but.. I also like:

I like Anders

No Brute loving?!! Tartarus was the definition of bada$$, throwing the 343 Guilty Spark into Johnson's face while the Sgt. has a sniper trained on his head. And on top of that Tartarus then proceeds to take on The Arbiter, second player (if your playing co-op) and the entire population of Elites on the Delta Halo BY HIMSELF.

He should have been the Brute Hero not some nameless Chieften, but then again if he was in the game he would be called OP, and he would be since he could take on five Prophets, ten Arbiters, and any number of UNSC single handedly LOL!   

Captain Cutter

The first to take command of the Colony ship and UNSC warship Spirit of Fire may be old but he is a true Veteran UNSC officer.

johnson and forge = best character in halo!

hmmm... not sure about this. I'll probably forget heaps...

1. Probably Yayap.

2. The shipmaster elite missing half his jaw, I forget his name.

3. Captain Keyes (he'd be higher if I wasn't so angry at him for dying just before I get there after spending like all of Halo CE trying to save him). That was an awesome maneouvre (sp?) in "Fall of Reach." Unless it was "The Flood," but I'm pretty sure it was "Fall of Reach."

4. Kurt? The spartan 3 guy that survived from beta and wasn't muted by the experience? That main one from alpha? The spartan 2 that took on those hunters with melee near the end of "Ghosts of Onyx"? I forget all the names, and don't own a copy of the book so I can't look them up... Dr Halsey? Idk I've always had a soft spot for her.

5. One of the above? 

Somewhere in there would be the marine in Halo2 that stays in the courtyard to fight the hunters with you in the level "outskirts." Also the gold elite in HaloCE on "the silent cartographer" that got his own cutscene.  Those were awesome considering they were just NPCs with no character development. Killing that elite always made me sad...

Actually his name isn't Shirly. It was a simple joke by Ensemble reffering to his line in the second level in respose to Regrets "Surly you jest!"

It's a joke like the running gag in the naked gun series.
