Ok to be fair I wouldn't say you SUCK, more like you haven't figured out the right strat. yet. Play around and things will become much easier. As far as your idea for 10 min wait, I have friends that when we play skermish ask me to do this all the time. I tell them no, and they don't complain. It's just simple strat vs strat. I think if they were to do this, because there are enough people out there that would enjoy this gametype a little better there would have to be limitations.
1. Start with fewer supply (initial and on map. This would make boosting your base/units a little slower at start.)
2. Only for 1v1s. (If this went to 2v2 or 3v3 then it would mess the game up all together.)
3 Must be played on a 2v2 or 3v3 map. (The reason I say this it because I think there should be a good amount of bases for each player. I will explain with the next rule.)
4. Unit size will be similar to Deathmatch. Each base equals 15 units. (With this and rule three one would have to spend their money on bases. While yes they would be able to have more units this way it would take them a little longer to get things set up, and for the players that are bad at the game they would be able to have a chance at a come back with more than 2 bases. Also all bases should have Resistance at them so they don't just boost their supply and take free stuff, and no extra reactors or forerunner bases.)
5. This one is majority vote here. Tech levels will only be upgradable based on time.
Example of rule 5
0:01-2:30 ( Players can only purchase up to Tech 1 things )
2:31-7:00 ( Players can only purchase up to Tech 2 things )
7:01-10:00 ( Players can purchase any Tech level they like )
This would help keep things a little more difficult for players until closer to time. Maybe a little tweaking would be needed, but just an idea. Don't make fun of people because they would like to be different from you, just laugh at them in your head. No but really there are quite a few people that enjoy this gametype and play it with their friends in private games. Not these rules, but the 10 min thing.
