Usualy for gamestop you have to sign up before the game comes out. you can't sign up when you get there.

 

I remember when Halo 3 came out 20 people signed up to the tournament and when I got there was like maybe around 50 people waiting in line to get the game, then they found out about the tournament they wanted to sign up right there, but were denied due that the halo 3 tournament poster was up 2 weeks before game came out saying about halo 3 tournament was the night that halo 3 comes out..so depends..came in 7th..>.<

 The gamestop here does not have any advertising for the tournament. The lady there when I signed up had to call her manager about it. I would think though, if the roster is not full they would let people sign up at the beginning of the tournament.

the closest gamestop to me is like 50 miles and 10 people have already signed up so im not gonna drive down there for a chance to lose.. and besides, nobody is home right now, and i already ordered the game from ebay, lol

banned, for no good reason. I will be back though, and I intend to kick some serious ass...

I was at the Halo Wars Tournament in Brandon, FL. The game is seriously amazing, at first I was worried that they might not have done to well with it because im so use to the FPS. But I went to the Tournament just to be able to play it, and I so cannot wait for Wednesday! If you haven't ordered it, I advise you to because it will seriously keep you glued.

Master Chief

so i just came back from the tournament, it was only me and my brother and this one dude signed up for the tournament.  We waited 'cause my friends and some other dude were coming so we started 15 min later.

These guys really didn't know how to play, and i beat the only guy who really had a clue.  The match was like 45min.  Due to the ODST's, i won.

used PoR the first round, Cutter the next two.  The disruption and ODST got me through.

the first and second round were done within 10 min.

EDIT:  by the way, i won, jsut in case you didn't know ^_^  Man the Arbiter is extremely powered.  Though, you just gotta know how to take him out. ;)

Same here, I just got back from the Gamestop Tournament and I won.( My feet were aching from standing up the entire time).

I used the Prophet of Regret the whole time and used the Cleansing Beam to win every single match. I am so thankful, I just saved 60 dollars in my pocket.

my hands were numb during/after the second match.  I was freaking out, and it was so close.  I got the feeling back after 5 min.  Using Cutter, i was able to stop PoR, and with the ODST's, i was able to drop them enough to clutter him.  He focused on anti-infantry and that was his downfall. :D

the MAC helped with overuse of the PoR and different tanks.  But i'm in love with the disruption bomb. <3

LOL .. your tournament sounds intense. No one showed up to mine, so I got a free shirt and will get a free LCE .. Then I got to fight the store owner and destroyed him in 5 minutes. I wish mine were serious business like yours.

 Deathmatch isn't a challenge though.

Just got back from my tournament. Only three other people could play, although a few people showed up late and should have been allowed... anyway, here's basically how it went for me.

1st Game

Two other guys - One as Forge, one as Brutes

UNSC guy played decent, Brutes were simply horrible. UNSC guy wins.

2nd Game

Me as Professor Anders against someone playing as the Arbiter

I was on *** fire. The other guy didn't do so well at all and I swept him.

Final Game

I played Forge, my enemy was the Brutes again

Again, I was on fire. This guy put up something of a fight and nearly crushed one of my bases and army, but I rallied back and took the win.

So I get a free T-shirt and Limited Edition copy of the game on the third :'D Marvelous.
