Yea and also i mean its not like all halo's ideas are original. Maybe it was Influenced by the scorpion. Halo was influenced by Aliens heaps it doesnt mean they 'stole' their ideas.I saw the movie recently and i kept thinking 'wow look its in halo'. No ones going to file a lawsuit over a small picture in some obscure book cover

    Re: I smell a lawsuit...

The tank looks exactly like the Scorpion tank. How can you people say that it just sorta looks like the Scorpion tank? This Orson guy might have gotten permission to use the tank, so i'm not going to go too far into that.

All in all, does it really matter?

    Re: I smell a lawsuit...

If you want to put it that way. I personally consider it a fact that the tank looks exactly like the Scorpion tank, but whatever works for you is fine.

Yes, well it is my opinion that the fact that they look alike doens't really matter. If Bungie sues, then they sue. If whoever the author is bought the right to it, then we don't need to worry.

Is that a fact, or an opinion?

LOL! I guess I would have to call it a fact.

    Wes:
therefore, bungie stole nothing.  the spartan program was Clones, not children from Earth families.  The tanks are an original bungie design.  Honestly, how hard would it be for the cover artist to design his own tanks.

ooh, laser beams instead of rockets....whoop-di-friggin-doo.

um...the spartan program has nothing to do with clones (besides the quick clones replacing the ubducted children....and they are children from an Earth colony

and the cover art was done by Bob Warne as it says on the bottom of that page

    Re: I smell a lawsuit...

Bob Warne has no imagination. I could easily come up with my own tank, the only problem is that it would be a stick figure tank, but at least it would be my own.

    Re: I smell a lawsuit...

its an opinion that its the scorpian tank because no matter how much it looks like it u have no proof that its the scorpian tank..which makes it an opinion not a fact

u cant make say somthins a fact wen u have no proof its absolutely true

and if theres other ppl that say its not the scorpian tank then thats their opinion also ..but they can always call it a fact just like u r..anyways...its an opinion no matter wat u say or call it

also, aren't the enders maze books about a future program to train kids to fight aliens? sounds like halo kinda stole that one doesn't it? i'd say it's a fair trade.

you are forgetting.  this new book is not part of the Ender series, is it?...

And there were no tanks in the Ender series were there?

Sorry bud, but the Spartans were children stolen from their families and replaced by clones.

    Later.
