Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

Please everyone, let this be the last post and let this thread die, there's no use argueing over a point that been discussed so many times, and even less in calling people noobs.
Trying to bring honour back to noobs everywhere.

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

All I have to say is that if enesemble pull this off (and I have no doubt in my mind that they will) it will break down the "RTS's' for pc only" barrier. For a job like this, ensemble are the people for the job. Besides, how can you judge a game that you havent even played??? You have to try something before you gripe about it.

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

who you calling a noob if you was a classic gamer then RTS on PC would have been what your used to. its not an accomplishment as its been done before. i being playing and making games years so i think that i am no Noob thank you.

and plus everyone was a noob once so shut up, there would have been a time when you did not no what FSB or Mhz meant and someone would of helped you or you talked about something that others had already talked about.

well i will write a review on my site about the game after i have played it, and like all other RTS for console the verdict will still probably be would have been better on PC, not saying it wont be good, but i am sure microsoft will loose lots of sales from that.

Life is Short, But your's will be even shorter if you mess with me...Hahaha

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

Please, do not continue this thread, arguing over the platforms that it will be released on is absolutely pointless for numerous reasons, and arguing over who is a noob just makes you both noobs.  Let this thread die once and for all, and let it rest at the bottom of the forums with the rest of the threads on this topic.  I'm only making this post because I bumped the wrong button when I went to edit my previous post.

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

I was missing the 'Why isn't Halo Wars on the PC' threads, we seem to have had a lack of them recently.

I not going to bother say why it isn't, there are hundreds of thread that detail why it isn't on the PC.

The fact that you bring up topics about how much better your personal life is, and how much you know about computers only goes to show that you DO NOT have a decent argument that actually RELATES to the thread.

You can not call yourself a noob all you want and either way you still fail.

Epicly, And if you ^^^ think im not a classic gamer, i have al AoE's, and AoMs, and even though yes i would be used to that, i still thing HW will be far better.

And anyway, Microsoft will hardly lose sales since its not on PC, becuase 99% of halo fans played all 3 games on the Xbox...., in a way, they will get more sales since even non-halo fanboys will buy the game too.

Noob noob noob noob noob noob noob noob noob noob noob noob noob nooob.

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

tbh i love playing RTS on the computer i remember playing red alert on the ps one that was alright the controls weren't very well designed but neither were tehy rubbish they surficed to do what they intended to happen. with halo wars like it has been stated the control scheme has been built for console instead of computer and then console.

you will write a review come on even if you do play it, it still going to be your personal opinion thats all that reviews are i have played games that reviews have said are rubbish and i have enjoyed them thoroughly just because a reviews states that teh game would be better on a different platform or something doesn't mean that others will fidn the same problem every one is different so your review will onyl state to what your opinion is and will not go with any one else

    rant over

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

i think you need to think what you are saying. microsoft have build all good games for the halo's and because it is not comung out on pc you dont like it. and they will not lose lots of money. if microsoft thinks they will lose lots of money, why are they not building it for pc. they will make good money out of it.

    1: you spelled "crazy" wrong.

2: lol, it made me laugh^^

3:the whole point to the game was to make an RTS that works on the concil without  being a PC port

4:you cant say that it will be better on PC, seeing as how you've never tried the controls

    5:it is easy to control

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

Obvious points aside (i.e. play the game before you bash it; Halo Wars isn't on PC so there's no comparison as to if a PC version would be better; the f***ing game isn't out yet...)

    gareth112:

I grew up on Super Mario Brothers and a really crappy side-scrolling Star Wars game. I remember Duck Hunt, a LOZ game on the NES (or SNES I can't remember that well), and I remember when Pokemon was cool and not over the top.

However I feel that there is room for a good console RTS game- you know, break the mold a bit. ***, guess I'm not a classical gamer. I mean, how could I ever compare to someone who makes video games! *GASP!* /sarcasm

Here's the short and skinny: This is the internet. Proof or GTFO. You make games, whoop-tee-do. I write D&D Campaigns for my group. Do you know how tiresome and difficult that is? Send me a PM and I'll enlighten you to the matter.

Final point, as other RTS PC-Console crossovers have failed, Halo Wars is hoping to succeed. If they do, and all the others have failed, then it's an accomplishment. Stop kidding yourself.

True, and we eventually grew out of our noob clothes, manned up, and followed the rules. Any fool who read the "Read This Before Posting" thread, looked at the FAQ, or even browsed the site for three minutes would know that Halo Wars is not for the PC. And any noob who joins a site is generally viewed as a noob until they prove themselves. It's this way in every institution. Police and Military have Rookies and Privates. Fraternities and Sororities have Initiates, high school and college have Freshmen. It's a fact of life, deal with it. You're a noob right now; at 6 posts, a 1 day member streak, and a very stupid opening question.

Once again, proof or GTFO. I could say that I'm Yahtzee, and that Zero Punctuation is my genious, but then I would have a very angry Aussie (with a sweet hat) breathing down my neck. It wouldn't be good. So be forewarned that anything you tell us that you do will probably be laughed at. It's the Internet, Gareth. A series of tubes. Status in the real world means nothing, unless you work for Ensemble.

Re: Not for PC? Are you Crasy

I agree Halo Wars should be made for PC and the Xbox 360 if not at first at least right after. I find myself still playing Command and Conquer on PC. Even though I have all the consoles "Wii, Xbox360, PS3.
