I am glad to see that the game is partly playable now.  I am excited for when we will be able to see some screenshots!  I can only imagine what it will look like.  (eyes shut)...mmm I can see it now...lol

And i believe that the redish looking thing is a marine in a cutscene.

it does look lik a marine, or a spartan. the reddish area the face, the green/gray rest around it is the armor

also, its holding a FAMAS-based weapon. could be a battle rifle

As far as how far along the game is, I wouldn't read too much into the fact that we were playing multiplayer games.  We've been playing multiplayer games for quite a long time now, which is easy enough to do with silly stand in art that doesn't look very good.  It's just part of the way we design games here -- by playing them as soon as possible and iterating on the game a great deal.  Keep what's fun, try some new ideas, toss out what's not fun, repeat!
