    Re: FF: Frontline

oh boy oh boy another FF by Captain oh boy oh boy

can't wait till the next chap

    but when the guy says

“A couple of plasma and sniper rifles. No rocket launchers. We’re not in any danger,”

    shouldn't it be

“A couple of plasma and beam rifles. No Fuel Rods. We’re not in any danger,”

    since its the covies?

    Re: FF: Frontline

Well, actually, it could be either one. After all, beam rifle=Covie sniper rifle. Fuel rod=Covie rocket launcher. He could use either one. It's just the wording; they mean the same thing.

What do you mean, another one? It's only the third...

Well he might be a deticated Halo fan so much that he might want to write ff's. Or just love to write stories. or both.

The Fuel Rod gun is not a rocket launcher, it fires green bolts of radioactive gel patches that fly to a target.

    Re: FF: Frontline

A Fuel Rod Cannon is in no way like a Rocket Launcher.
It should be changed to a beam rifle, since the word Sniper is Human in origin, a term used for the Marksmen who hunted a bird called a Snipe.

    Re: FF: Frontline

Chapter one was excellent! Fast-paced, action packed, everything I could ask for:

    But there were two errors:

"He shot down to grunts..." you left out the 'w', two.

"When the last of the marines was inside the building..." was should be 'were' in my opinion...

To quote you directly: I want a fan-fic with no errors!

    lol, jk

You did really well, nonetheless, it's nice to be reading something from you again =D

    A bit of both.

    Fenix:
The Fuel Rod gun is not a rocket launcher

    Seath:

Okay, okay. I'd always thought of it as the Covenant rocket launcher, but I was wrong. I'll fix it. Thanks for letting me know.

    Seath:
It should be changed to a beam rifle, since the word Sniper is Human in origin

The story is told through the perspective of the Human forces, therefore the terms used by Humans will be the terms used in the story. The Humans would refer to beam rifles as Covenant sniper rifles, so Covenant with beam rifles will be referred to as snipers.

Personally, I think I could have done certain bits better, but thanks.

    Well, don't expect one.

It's nice to be writing a fan fic again.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll change those errors now, thanks for pointing them out.

    Re: FF: Frontline

Still, even though it is similar to a Sniper Rifle, they would still probably call it a Beam rifle, the user however would probably still be called a Sniper.

    Nice story BTW

I changed it so the pilot said beam rifle. Thanks for the correction.

Thanks, hopefully I'll be able to keep up to your standards.

I don't think he meant it that way. Also check your pm in about two-three minutes.
