    Lol you wouldn't want to be that hunter... love to be that marine. lol

    Might be a good idea actually, when shot down it kills what it lands on. lol

    We can only hope, it would be very hard to implement though.

    there was a post a while ago that mentioned ordering a pelican to fly higher.  I would personally say that they should have the option to do so when being attacked.  The aircraft would take less damage when higher, but if destroyed its contents would die instantly.

    In my opinion, the Pelican should automatically fly higher when being fired upon. It shouldn't just fly along getting shot to pieces waiting for your order.

    Yes, but should take damage. And they should only survive between 100 and 150 meters, maybe up to 200. Their armour wasn't that advanced then, and they didn't have shields.

    The Spartans should still survive a largish fall...just not too high, they should have a larger height limit...maybe as large as the tank?

    Maybe a bit less than a tank, like I said above.

    If that happens, I'm chucking the game and suing Ensemble. lol

    Yes, very hard to implement, but I think Ensemble are up for a challenge.

    Shouldn't games of this day and age keep getting as realistic as possible... yes I m aware that this takes place in 500 years from now but you know what I mean.

    lol. Good point but at least its one less bullet to watch out for.

    Of course flying higher would have its risks.

    well in the halo game i kinda noticed that the pelicans didnt fly too high when carrying and deploying troops over land. more protection and cover maybe.

    Good point, I always assumed they flew low to prepare for a landing and avoid most of the aerial fire.

    So, there would be a bigger chance of vehicles surviving the fall if they are in fact flying that low for their set height.

    Spartans 'would' survive a fall like that, even without shields, so that is concluded.

    Pelicans would as glarrg said, need to make the most of the cover available to them for protection.

    If a scorpion tank is being transported by either the Albatross or Pelican, when shot down while doing so...should the tank or other vehicles survive the fall if it's on land? (I think they should survive the fall) Over water the tanks would sink when their air transport is shot down, on a mountain tip they'd either explode or crumple. But on mildly flat ground should they survive the fall, should you still be able to use them in combat...the fall should damage their health however.

    I think they should be destroyed. This would take away from all the power of the Pelican and make it so a player is less inclined to use that vehicle.

    I think it would be more fun...and do something a game hasn't done before.

    Ok, some of you say that a tank should survive a huge fall and a warthog a tiny one, well, in physics that doesn't make any sence.  Ok, this is an experiment.  We are on top of the Empire State Building.  I have a bouncy ball in one hand (Warthog) and a lead ball in the other (Scorpian) in the other.  If I drop them to the ground, which one is mostly likely to survive?  I think the the Warthog should survive a bigger height than the scorpian.

    Well in all the Halo 1 vehicles are indestructible. In Halo 2 the only thing that blows vehicles up is another vehicle crashing into it or it explodes. Or when some one shoots at it for a long time (That is very unlikely that a vehicle explodes due to a guy with a magnum.)and some more.

     

    In Halo 3 if your above sand trap in forge and you drop a  mongoose when your as high as you can go, it explodes, but scorpions don't,  A warthog explodes also, but half way above sandtrap is a different story, only mongooses explode.
