    Re: 2 people per match!

    James T.:

I'm sorry KristallNacht, but OMG! What an idiot! You called me stupid and you can't even see the point of this thread!

    Oh, what a laugh! :)

Anyway, I know that the radar has to be that way in campaign, but what about in a skirmish mode, or on live?

For those of you who are having trouble understanding the point of this thread (KristallNacht) I will try to explain it to you again. I will also be sure to use words with 7 letters max so that you can participate.

On the Demo ( the video under downloads) the radar (thing that bleeps and shows dots) at the top right hand corner of the screen, had allies (friends) as green and enemies (the bad people) as red.

    Still with me?

Well, what if your playing with more than two people? What if one enemy is red, and another is blue? What color shows up on your radar?

You may have to read this over a few times, and you may need to lay down afterwards. That's okay, it's just 'cause your stupid. :)

P.S- Don't insult other people because you think a thread is stupid.

You don't even know what your're saying.

    Allied units? um...your color......congratulations!

    Enemy units? Their color.........congratulations!

Like I said, God forbid the UNSC chose green and the Enemies chose red.

OR god forbid it's like that in campaign.

Essentially you're pointing out a completely nonexistant problem.

    Re: 2 people per match!

OMG! Now this is just annoying!

If you have two enemies, should their color be different on the radar. Campaign is one thing, we're in agreement that it's okay for campaign. But what if there are multiple covies and UNSC?

THEN TALK ABOUT THAT IN YOUR POST!!!

    what you said was

    James T.:

I looked at the demo again recently, and I noticed something wrong with the radar.

And guess what? My position is that the Radar is just fine and there is nothing wrong with it and based on what you said you have absolutely no basis to say something is wrong.

I would have to say NO TEAM COLORS in campaign. In campaign, vehicles and units should look exactly like they do in the games, without team colors. Team colors in campaign aren't neccessary, because its simply us and them. No middle faction we will need to avoid killing.

As for Radar, just the normal Green and Red. Or we could make it Halo-ish and have it Yellow and Red.

    i agree

it makes more sense, and ur troops wont be stupid colors

    Re: 2 people per match!

    my take on the "problem"

team games, you're stuff is whatever color you like to be in FFA, everyone else on your team is a different shade of blue

    enemies are shades of red

FFA, everyone is their own color

    campaign, no colors

the mini map shows whatever color someone is

Did you read my original post? I said that I thought something may be wrong, but I also said that ES could've wanted it that way, or they're fixing it. If your opinion on radar was that it was fine, then say it! Don't call me stupid!

I'm not going to post one thought twice. Why can't you look back at the original post? It explained everything rather thoroughly.

I'm too lazy to read, sooo......

    James T.:

I looked at the demo again recently, and I noticed something wrong with the radar. The enemies were red, and the UNSC were green. If there are four people playing in a free for all match, then shouldn't their color on the radar be different?

Ex: UNSC purple- shows up purple on the radar.

Ex: Covie orange- shows up orange on the radar.

Of course, this could be because it was in campaign, or because it was early in the making. Or they may even leave the radar that way. How will I differentiate from my enemies?

    Post your thoughts

Did you ever think that these might be the default campaign colors (you are green team and covys are red team in campaign)?  Especialy since green is the UNSC marines' main color.

There could also be the function, like in most recent RTS games, where you can choose the simple radar: you - green/blue, allies - yellow, enemies - red.

sooo, maybe have that option on the screen so that you could turn it on during a firefight?

    Re: 2 people per match!

OH MY GOD!!  This is not complicated.  The same thing was used in C&C 3 and LOTR BFME2.  Yes if there were four players 2 UNSC and 2 Covenant. 1 UNSC player chooses green the 2nd chooses blue, then thats the color they will show up as on the radar.  1st covenant player chooses
red and the 2nd chooses purple, then thats the color they will show up as.  Besides even if for some odd reason ensemble forgets to color coordinate the radar (which im 99.99% sure they havent forgot) then who the **** care if all the enemies show up as red?  3 words: Kill them all.
