Ok I have a serious n00b thought:

Could John be an offspring of the the Spartan 1s?  As well as all the other Spartan2s?  Yea I haven't finished the book series yet   I'm currently working on them... will take me about another 2 weeks or so.  But yea this is a n00b question so i thought i would throw it in here.

its not neccesarily a noob question b/c u r asking what it is a noob would assume he/she is right. for ur question i dont think he would be b/c there was no special abilities passed on to the offspring of the spartan 1. The only reason some of the spartan 1.1 1.2 had spec abilities is b/c their parents had the recieve augmentation as a child otherwise they were normal. So odds r they r not. this is just speculation though. anyone else have an anwser to this.

I believe it makes mention of the UNSC trying to abduct Jan (Spartan 1.1) for the Spartan-II program, but her father James (Spartan-I) killed the would-be kidnappers. He said she could do hop scotch on her hands (rather than feet), and that was what had attracted the recruiters, and as such she "killed at hopscotch". This is from ilovebees, which is embraced as canon by Bungie.

As such, it is a possibility John was a Spartan 1.1, but the likely hood is that the Spartan-Is wouldn't be duped the way normal people were, and the UNSC would have been short a candidate and several people if John had been a 1.1

I was thinking more along the lines of the would-be kindappers never getting close to the Spartan-I's child, as the Spartan-Is probably sleep with one eye open and have plenty of security stuff. That, and the Spartan-Is would probably grow suspicious as soon as their child was screened by Halsey. There is, of course the possibility that one or multiple Spartan-IIs are the offspring of Spartan-Is.

I also thought after reading what that guy wrote that there maybe a possibility that they would pick them b/c the prob picked the Spartan 1 by looking for genetic markers and if they had it it would be wise to look at there childeren for a possibilities. And i dont think Sarge, if he is in fact a S1, would not notice someone scoping is childeren out. I certainly would not want to sneak into his house and kidnap his kid...lol...

if the ark is on earth and the ark is like a halo wouldn't the flood show up on eart?? and if they do then there would be a three way war on earth between the humans the flood and the covenant owe wait but the elites grunts and hunters are seperated from the rest of the covvy so it would be a four way war unless the elite fraction joined the humans its all very confusing???
