    AC Matt Klassen:

    about the nova bomb...

won't do anything if Earth is out of phase...

and maybe the bomb is beamed away....

    or defused by beaming tech...

You wouldn't be able to hax drone control systems...

    Foreunner vs. Ancient/Asgard/Nox/Furlings?

The Ancients and their buddies would win.

Add in the ascended ones, and with one thought, the Forerunners are devastated. (But that's way too OP and *** up)

the table i posted above is correct, you KEEP ADDING things that are either no longer around or wouldnt interfere  (ascended beings).

i added in forerunners because u had ascended and ancients in there.

you and i both know the reaction time of stargate is slow, so beaming it away isnt an option + they coundnt beam that Miniture sun making death machine far enough away any way. the UNSC would do the same thing the wraith did and install a jammer on it. also all the UNSC ship has to do is throw the nova bomb out of an air lock and jump away, it doesnt need to fire it at the planet. the whole of the planet earth & the moon would shatter and be vaporized. even if you were out of phayse, i cant even begin to imagen the effects of detonating a nova bomb near an out of phayse planet.

and lastly YES A UNSC AI can hack a drone control system. they can hack any thing in seconds.

oh and the forerunners would figure out what happened quickly and use their own version of Merlin's anti ascended weapon on the ascended.

i am not favroting either side, im just telling you given the options, resources and technology avaible to both sides, how this would play out.

Both sides would kill each other off completely. The end.

I agree with you on the Asgard beaming technology. A NOVA bomb would wreck that system...but what about Wraith beaming? When the device is beamed into a Wraith dart, and any system using this technology, then it's suspended in time. I can't think of the name of the episode, but there's one in the Atlantis series that focuses on the team discovering an asteroid with the remnants of an entire civilization suspended in this manner. The Stargate Universe could just suspend the NOVA bomb this way and then move it to another galaxy, or even use it against the UNSC Universe.

I'm not picking a side either. I've just been defending the Stargate Universe through my posts because, frankly, most of the people who have responded to this have never seen the series (and some have even admitted it).

As for mentioning things that don't exist anymore on the Stargate side of the argument, I'm fairly certain almost everybody has done it with the UNSC Universe as well. Am I mistaken, or was there not only one NOVA bomb? And isn't the vast majority of the Covenant and UNSC fleets little more than debris fields from the lasting battles? Lets try not to be too judgmental of others just because we don't agree with them. lol

Well...The Covenant are also part of the Halo universe, just pointing that out.

What I mean is that they beam it, say, in front of the stargate, just as the event horizon forms? Ka-whoosh=all matter inside the radius gone.

the UNSC would do the same thing the wraith did and install a jammer on it.

If the UNSC and the Tau'ri never had any contact until now, how would they know that the Tau'ri used beaming technology?

also all the UNSC ship has to do is throw the nova bomb out of an air lock and jump away, it doesnt need to fire it at the planet.

So the Tau'ri find it, augument it with naquadria, send it back to the UNSC, and watch from a safe distance...or they just toss it through a wormhole...

the whole of the planet earth & the moon would shatter and be vaporized. even if you were out of phayse, i cant even begin to imagen the effects of detonating a nova bomb near an out of phayse planet.

The blast wave would fly through empty space...out of phase means NO LONGER IN OUR REALITY/DIMENSION...it wouldn't do anything.

and lastly YES A UNSC AI can hack a drone control system. they can hack any thing in seconds.

    UH...NO.

In Halo 2, Cortana couldn't seize control of the Forerunner Keyship in the middle of High Charity...?

Plus, how the hell would a UNSC AI get close enough to hack Atlantis' systems, there would be a fuckload of drones cutting any ship that gets close to shreads...

oh and the forerunners would figure out what happened quickly and use their own version of Merlin's anti ascended weapon on the ascended.

And once again, the ascended Ancients would destroy it and all their research with one thought...

i am not favroting either side, im just telling you given the options, resources and technology avaible to both sides, how this would play out.

Thanks! I knew it was something like that. Imagine all of humanity secreted away somewhere in the asteroid belt if we knew that our imminent doom was at hand. Very creepy.
